  1. Looks delicious, but sharpen your knife… make cutting the meat easier and neater

  2. Looks delicious. I noticed a lot of other beef stew recipes don't have celery but for me celery, carrots and onions need to be in every stew or soup. Thanks for sharing your recipe, I hope the end of the world ain't coming too soon!! Lol

  3. Thank you!!! A storm just passed here – winter ice snow 'chilling' COLD – and I'm DYING to make a beef stew or pot roast!! I'm dying to eat it, is more like it. Because there were five kids, my mom told me she used tomato juice instead of wine. When I asked my sister if her pot roast, (not forgetting your beef stew), tasted like mommys', she said no. Mine did 😏, but the "brand" has all to do with it. SACRAMENTO was what mom used and my sis used CAMPBELLS. So I use tomato juice as opposed to wine 'cause that's the taste I like. Just a heads up for anyone who might not like to use wine for various reasons. A friend of mine, a police officer, would not eat anything if alcohol was used in the cooking as he was a recovering alcoholic. It's a good idea to pass along, if we remember. The difference in taste/flavor among tomato juices is HUGE!
Thank you for posting and narrating your recipe. 👍

  4. Thank you for the sanest beef stew recipe I’ve seen. Mom made the best and yours is just like it that’s how you do it….you cook the meat with the vegetables! that’s just how you do it.

And you don’t have to give anybody else credit I’m not gonna watch those people those weird girls talking and fooling around or whatever they do….having wine and weird girl talk I assume. Like housewives of whatever town is latest popularity weirdos stuff. don’t give anybody credit you worked hard for this you knew how to make it before in the first place, Most likely. Thanks again

  5. This is not a stew. It looks like beef soup, which is fine of course. Oh well! 🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂Cheers and 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺beers mates!

  6. Just use a tsp of cornstarch in 2tbsp of water and add half hour before the finish time instead of using flour.Little more if needed, depending on the quantity of stew

  7. Never thought about braising the veggies a little bit before adding the liquid… and oh! WINE. I don't have an merlot on me, but I have about 8 ounces of chardonnay. I'm gonna make this right now and use the chardonnay. Thanks!

  8. Great video. I wish I had watched this sooner. I made the mistake of using tomato sauce, and I didn't like it. Next time I will follow your recipe, and use wine. Again thanks for posting! I can't wait to try this.

  9. That's what I do, make a big pot of stew then put the rest in freezer bags. I see you don't put parsnips in your stew, I couldn't make a stew without parsnips, try it.

  10. Dude the worst cooking video I've ever seen, because your fat ass was blocking the camera 90% of the time…

  11. Looks good. My only arguments: canola or lard, not olive oil. And stew should have corn, green beans and(my personal preference), butter beans. And add a little cumin for flavor.

  12. Corn starch would really thicken that gravy. Julia Child usually had her glass of wine. I sure wasn't into cooking shows as a kid, but I watched her just for the laughs, she was a hoot.

  13. Easier to put the flour in a paper lunch bag & shake the meat in it to cover. No dishes to wash & just throw the bag away.

  14. Followed your recipe for the stew, and it came out delicious. Thank you for sharing this!
