
I just followed this recipe to make the porridge for thanksgiving and made the rice cakes to top it with.

It says to transfer them to cool water after cooking, but there isn’t any advice on storage if they won’t be eaten right away.
They’ll be waiting until dinner tomorrow, so about 16hrs. Should I store them in my fridge or at room temp? In water or just in an airtight container?

I usually freeze them uncooked and thaw them slightly before cooking.
