Found this buried in some of my dad’s old things.
Would like to use it but not sure how to go about getting it safely up and going. TIA

Anything can be restored it’s more a question of how much are you willing to pay to get it restored

I use a old All American I got second hand. My lid isn’t quite that pitted but it’s not far off. I got the dial tested and it was still spot on. If the lid still latches, and you test/replace the dial, you should be good to go!

Replace the stop cock with the vent tube and weight system and you’re good to go.

Items 4 and 5 on [this page,](https://www.pressurecooker-outlet.com/All-American-Pressure-Cooker-Parts.htm) may as well get a new gauge while you’re at it.

The stop cock system is actually superior to weights because you can set it to bleed steam at infinitely variable pressure but you need to be sure that your gauge is accurate.

The weight system does not require an accurate gauge or a gauge at all for that matter.

If you don’t wanna try I’d be willing to.
