go to the original hollywood location. i get the sense that’s the best one

i mean, Yelp rating is the farthest thing from a source of truth in my opinion. However, For the win definitely is ONE of my favorite burgers.

The Friendly in San Diego is the best burger in california, no question!

  3. oneironology

It’s solid, but there’s better burgers to be had especially in the la area

  4. drumorgan

my takeaway from this is that I could make a living “writing” food articles by simply copy/paste from existing review sites

  5. RogueApiary

Well, certainly not the GCM location. Like it was good but it was 25 dollars for a burger and fries after tip. Absolutely not worth the cost unless their other location is significantly less expensive.

Ktla is not a reliable souce for food recommendations- try eater, lamag, time out, latimes. Im surprised they even made a best burger article maybe they walked by it while reporting on a hit and run stabbing or robbery

I disagree, and I’ve had terrible service both times I’ve gone (both rudeness and the burger taking forever despite the place being empty) but it’s a perfectly fine smashburger, and a lot of people seem to like it! I’d put Goldburger above it as my favorite for starters, and I’d put Heavy Handed above it although that spot has the Santa Monica tax.

Yelp is pretty unreliable in general though

  8. scaremonster

It’s really good but I think Goldburger is the best. Honestly there’s a threshold that places like FTW, Burger She Wrote, etc reach where it’s a game of inches. They’re all amazing, it becomes a matter of personal preference.

  9. TacoChowder

Kettle Glazed, in that same plaza as the Hollywood location, is also super great. Great gluttonous double feature

  10. winterwarzzz

I really like Goldburger and Proudly Serving.

  11. How does Nevada get ranked between New Mexico and New York alphabetically? Clown shit upon clown shit

  12. stellalunawitchbaby

Okay but it is actually a really good burger, actually one of my favorite smashburgers I’ve had in LA. Worth trying.

    1. Service is whatever
    2. Atmosphere is whatever
    3. Food was pretty good I’d recommend trying it once if you’re gonna be by there anyway

  14. yitdeedee

I think it’s the best “smashburger” I’ve had in LA.

    I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I went there last week and I had high expectations. Unfortunately, it didn’t deliver.

The burger is just another smash burger. It is very similar to Shake Shack tastewise, expect the toppings.

It is not a bad burger but not the best burger at all. I’d give 7/10 the most.

For the dining ambiance and service, I’d give 5/10.

Just try but don’t get your hopes high.

It’s a good burger and that’s the end of it. Nothing worth traveling for. They have really good reviews because they were giving free fries if you left a 5 star review on the spot.

I like FTW and Win-Dow (which is an amazing value!) both better than Goldburger. FTW and Kettle Glazed are worth the trip; order ahead to avoid a long wait.

Went to the Hollywood one last week. Fantastic. Only complaint is their tables can fuck up your knees.
