Got this bottle in today, looks like the glass of the bottle was chipped before it had capsule applied. Any chance that this will have compromised the seal of the cork?

Doesn’t really matter if the cork is compromised. The bottle is broken. Which means there may be glass chips inside. Or further break the neck when trying to remove the cork. Just send it back to retailer/supplier.
