I’m tired of the bland chili flakes from grocery stores. Yes they add some heat but it’s quite muted. There’s a company in the states that sells great stuff but don’t ship to Canada:

Ordering their stuff from amazing means paying 40-60 bucks for what really costs 10 bucks.
Does anyone have any recommendations for good chili flakes? My research so far has not led me anywhere.

Go to Carlos’ house of spice in Kensington. They have both whole dried chillies and pre ground chilli flakes of all sorts.
I make my own but you can get them at any Mexican grocery store
this is an amazon link, but i’m pretty sure i get the same one at a local chinese grocer. sure there’s plenty of heat, but that’s not what’s important. there’s plenty of other flavour in there. i’d say get that and grind your own flakes. blender or food processor would work if not grinder.

the kirkland flakes at costco are pretty decent too if you just want flakes
I buy the ones from Eataly- find them to have a lot more kick and flavour than the grocery store ones.
