Whoa! You're putting raw egg whites into the eggnog? Isn't there a danger of salmonella? I would never do such a thing unless I knew those egg whites had been pasturized. If you want a thicker, creamier nog, it would be safer to use whipped cream.
I’d like to try this since I love eggnog but can rarely find it in stores. I have a strong aversion to egg smell, though. Wondering if it’s eggy.

I like to serve my eggnog in a coup as well and garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. That little bit of sugar crunch on the top adds an element of brûlée.
