  1. Amy, They do look delicious. I would not have thought about putting mayonnaise on the sandwich. The Italian dressing and Dijon mustard is a nice addition. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I made something similar the other day. took Kielbasa and sliced them on the diagonal and fried them in a cast iron skillet until they where all nice and browned. I took them out of the pan and saute the onions and bell pepper's. I then added the meat back and dumped in a bottle of Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest. I let it simmer for 20 minutes then served it with buns and home made brown ale mustard. I used 4 packs of the Kielbasa, 1 onion and 1 1/2 each of red and green bell peppers. took this to my home brew club meeting and everyone loved it.

  3. Oh yea!! I do this for the office but I slice the sausage into small disks and rough chop the veggies so they can pile it on French rolls. Some of them warm in the micro with sliced provolone. Mmmmm!

  4. Yum! Can't go wrong with onions and peppers ! Love Italian style sandwiches I miss them. Great job Amy

  5. I usually have sliced fresh tomatoes on ours in addition…and some cheese and back under the broiler for a bit…yummoh…a great use for extra fresh tomatoes.

  6. The salad dressing is processed I believe, I would use an laternative like olive oil and balsamic with minced garlic/salt pepper ๐Ÿ™‚ I love your show Amy and Eric!

  7. New subscriber! And can I just say that this video inspired me to go out and get some sausage, peppers, and onions today and my hubby and I are going to attempt it tonight! ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Amazing sangwich, with or without sauce it's out of this world, hot or sweet sausage are great, i prefer hot. I actually probably like mine better without sauce, the onions and peppers are a must…Gotta try it with the dijon mustard, never heard of that before, but I love dijon mustard, but I bet it adds an amazing kick to it. Can't wait to try it this way!!!!

  9. Thanx for sharing! A couple things I didn't put into my recipe I'll try. Amy, you're kinda hot! Love how you say "….but that's ok, right?" with that look in your eye….smiles hon. Stay safe and keep cookin'!

  10. You just wasted the tops and bottoms of those peppers. Other than that they look great nice switch from the tomato sauce we normally cook the peppers and onions in.

  11. Recently I've been on a health craze and have no desire to eat animal products. My go to cheap, fast and healthy sandwich is an air fried thinly sliced pepper and onion sandwich over thick white slices with a nice slather of Miracle whip on both sides – no meat, no tomato and no cheese. Amazingly good and easy to make, but for me the best part is the ingredients keep well in my 12v fridge in my van at 55F and I can make like 10 sandwiches with one loaf, pepper and onion. The economics just amazing.

  12. Did you put any oil or butter before you put the peppers and onions in? And also Amy, the bread sounded crusty when you were spreading the mayo. Did you toast it first? Thanks.
