I’m still waiting on a few more pieces of equipment and decor, but I just finished getting everything off of the counter and onto the wall and wanted to share.
The setup is primarily for espresso, with the occasional pour over (and morning tea for my wife). I’m extremely impressed with the quality of the shots I’m pulling with the Flair 58 (especially considering I’m using a 22g basket), it’s on par or better than the espresso I’m used to buying at my local cafe’s. The 1Zpresso J-Max has so much control and makes dialing beans in so easy. I’ve gone from buying 1 coffee a day to now drinking 3 a day thanks to my home setup haha
I have the Subminimal NanoFoamer Pro on the way (I pre-ordered it from their kickstarter). That’ll fill in the big gap on the counter and also leave me some room for future changes. The tamping mat, artwork for the wall, milk pitcher, and I can’t remember what else will fill in all remaining empty space without crowding things too much.
If you all can think of anything else I’m missing for my minimal espresso setup, or have any helpful espresso setup tips, I’m open to them. I’ve only been into espresso within the last few months so I’m new, I’ve been into coffee for as long as I can remember though. I’m looking forward to getting the last 25% together to how you all what the completed setup looks like!
