no cinamon , grade the cheese in the sauce ( bechamel is ready when you start to feel it stickin at the bottom of the pot ) let the melitzanes go fully brown if not burned

You reminded me of the time I was a university student in the US, ages ago and as part of an International week event, me and my roommate, also from Greece, cooked Moussaka for 200+ people.
The Béchamel sauce was a nightmare to make.
There was a large professional steam heated pot, but the big mixer on top of it did not work, so I had to stir the Béchamel by hand something that seemed to last for ever.
The funny thing was that by the time the guests of the event finished getting self served, there was no Moussaka left for us who cooked it lol.

OMG !!!!! 🤩 That Moussaka looks SOOOOOO GOOD !!! 😋😋 Your “shortcuts” were intelligent (boiling the potatoes, dry oven roasting the eggplants + prepared sauce + the Mozzarella). The only thing I would have added was a drizzle of olive oil in the casserole dish over the potatoes + eggplants under the meat. When “the little lentil” grows up a bit, the three of you can start a restaurant 😄😋😄. Pastichio is my favorite but watching you make this Moussaka I may just change my mind! BRAVO 🙌 👏 🙌. -V

Vegetarian mousaka .for kimas you put onion garlic spinach feta tomato sauce .and eggplant zucchini and potatoes .and besamel .very tasty girls.
I add only salt and nutmeg to the besamel not many spices because Arabists is spicy and I prefer two layers of mince one between potato and aubergine and between aubergine and the crsam

If you dont mind me suggesting some things that could possibly make things easier and more tasty:
1. before you lay the potatoes inside the pan, apply some butter.
2. you might find it easier to slice the potatoes and the eggplants in round shapes (in the same way and direction you sliced the carrots),
3. you could apply some olive oil on the eggplants before you bake them in the oven (100% recommended).
4. Allow moussaka to rest for 20-30 minutes before you start cutting. It is essential to have a well standing piece of moussaka. When you go to a restaurant and they serve moussaka oven hot, they do this because they cooked each serving in a bowl and they bring it to you directly from the oven. They would never serve moussaka out of the oven, if they were using a baking pan (as you did), bcoz when hot you simply cant cut moussaka into pieces without destroying it.
Yet, even without the above (which are optional), your moussaka looks magnificent and Im certain it is delicious!

What ever happened to human evolution? I thought as humans we were evolving, but I guess not. Some of us are still in the Caveman Era This piece of s#!& should rot in jail. He's psychotic and will harm a human being. Put him in jail!. These people should be imprisoned and as part of their punishment they should be made to clean the kennels at the local animal control on a daily basis This is absolutely disgusting. Unless Greece does what is right and honorable, boycott Greece!. Because no animal should be treated this way! Ever for any reason! and if this nut will hurt animals its no time before hes doing much worse I imagine cause this is slfish crule and you got to think animals have feelings too. I would have intervened and nobody would have to sign this because I would have ended this scumbags worthless waste of oxygen.

Hi Girls. I use either allspice =bahari or nutmeg = moskokaritho in my meat sauces. I don't use carrot in my meat sauces because I find it tones down the flavours in the sauces. Just my preference. Your mousaka looked amazing and delicious! Well done! ❤❤
I hate Greece and I love dolphins how greedy do they have to be. Until you ban all dolphins in Greece, I shall not return. Everything in life is speaking, is audible, is communicating, in spite of its apparent silence. NOT ALL SCREAMS CAN BE HEARD. Boycott marine parks, boycott slavery. I'm signing because animals are not a spectacle. They are living creatures with feelings and emotions just like you! Captivity isn't a sign of civilization, it's a sign of selfishness. This is unecessary, cruel, backward and not compliant with 4039/2012. I also expect better from Greece, the cradle of western liberal and intellectual thought. Cetaceans are not suited for captivity. It is not entertaining to watch them tortured in order to do unnatural tricks.
