I’m not an oyster fan, but that omelet looks amazing

  2. Winner looks amazing, I wish I was near any of those locations regularly.

Okdongsik has been on my list for a while, I really need to get there, same with Okiboru.

The subject of the article is exactly what I’m looking for. Out of all the restaurants in NYC, I would love to see a list of the dishes you can get in NYC that people would say “the best X in the world is at restaurant Y”. Does anybody have any pointers?

I’m really surprised to see the carbonara at Roscioli on here. It made me wonder if Pete Wells has ever been to Rome. I know Roscioli is a Roman institution, but I was just in Rome eating up all the carbonara I could find and ate some amazing versions. Then I tried it at Roscioli in New York. It wasn’t bad. But it was far from overwhelming my palate with deliciousness in the way that some of the best carbonaras in Rome did.

The carbonara will probably always be better in Rome. But this particular carbonara at Roscioli? It’s fine but not one of the best dishes of 2023.
