Shrimp Skewers | Holiday Party Appetizer | Shrimp Skewers Starter | Easy Party Cocktail

For the green masala:
7-8 garlic cloves
½ inch piece ginger
1 green chili
Handful of coriander leaves
2 tbsp water

Blend the above green masala ingredients into a smooth paste and keep aside.

For the dry masala mixture:
1 tsp turmeric
2 tbsp red chili powder or as per how spicy you like
Salt as per taste
1 ½ tbsp garam masala

Mix and keep aside

For the main marination:
18-20 jumbo shrimp (cleaned, washed and patted dry)
Dry masala mixture
Green masala paste
2 tbsp lemon juice

Mix and keep aside to marinate for 15 minutes.

For the skewers:
1 cup plain bread crumbs
Oil for frying
Wooden cocktail skewers
Marinated shrimp

Thread 2-3 shrimp onto the skewers and then coat them well on both sides with the bread crumbs.
Heat a griddle and pour some oil for shallow frying.
Place the skewers and allow them to cook on medium heat for a total of 5-6 minutes turning to the other side to cook in between.
Make sure they are nice and golden in color.
Once done, enjoy with some creamy cocktail sauce.
