Creamy Cajun Shrimp Chicken And Sausage Pasta

smoked sausage link or preferred
2 chicken breast sliced in half
1 lb shrimp
1/2 of each bell pepper red + green
1 small onion yellow and/or 1 shallot diced
1/4 cup Chicken broth ( or 1 tsp chicken bouillon + 1/4 cup water)
parsley fresh or dried
Garlic chopped on minced
1 small Roma tomato diced
6 sun-dried tomatoes in a jar
1 tbsp pasta sauce
1-pint heavy cream
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 – 1/2 tsp chicken bouillon
adobo to taste
garlic powder to taste
onion powder to taste
Old Bay Seasoning to taste
Seafood Seasoning/ Cedar Plank Salmon Seasoning to taste
1/2 tsp paprika per side
1/4 tsp per side smoked paprika add a small sprinkle
Cajun Seasoning
Pasta
Salt
Ground Black Pepper
Oil

Cook pasta according to instructions on the box.
Add a small drizzle of oil to the chicken.
Season chicken with salt, ground black pepper, adobo, cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and smoked paprika.

Drizzle a small amount of oil unto the shrimp
Season with adobo, Cajun Seasoning garlic and onion powder, paprika, Old Bay, and seafood seasoning.

Add oil to a heavy-duty skillet. Add the chicken and cook evenly on both sides.
Remove the chicken and reserve for later
Using the same pan, brown the sausages, remove and set them aside.

Add the seasoned shrimp to the pan, cook evenly, place on a plate and set aside until later.

Add a small amount of butter to the pan along with onions, shallots, and combine.
Cook for about 20 seconds, before adding the bell peppers.
Combine and incorporate really well.
Saute the veggies until they are slightly softened, Add the tomatoes, pasta sauce, and combine.
Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, combine and lower the flame. Cover with a lid and allow the sauce to simmer for about 2 minutes. Before adding the sun-dried tomatoes. Allow the sauce to slightly reduce. Add freshly grated Parmesan cheese anode combine.

Re-add some of the shrimp, sausage, and chicken back to the sauce. Combine, making sure everything is well incorporated. Add the pasta and combine once more. Take the remaining shrimp sausage, and chicken, adding them to the top. Garnish with parsley.

Tonight on cooking with tammy i’m going to show you how to make a delicious creamy cajun shrimp chicken and sausage pasta i’m going to let you in on a little secret this recipe is going to be packed with so much robust cajun flavor not to mention it’s going to be so

Creamy that is going to be sweaty so all of that being said let’s introduce these ingredients and get to cooking first thing on up is our smoked sausages of course you could use whatever your preferred sausage is whether it be indooey kielbasa turkey so on and so forth

We’re also going to need chicken breast chicken breast has been washed cleaned patch dried and ready to go we’re also going to be using jumbo shrimp shrimp has been washed clean peeled deveined along with our bell peppers both red and green we also have some yellow onions and of

Course i have to incorporate my shallots with the onions you know i love shallots however if you don’t have shallots tucked away somewhere no worries just use the yellow onions we’re also going to need chicken broth tomatoes parsley of course could be fresh or dried chopped garlic sun-dried tomatoes heavy cream pasta

Sauce parmesan cheese and for our seasonings we’re going to need seafood seasoning if you don’t have seafood seasoning not a problem smoked and regular paprika onion powder garlic powder cajun seasoning adobo salt ground black pepper and oil on our stove top we have some boiling water we’re going to add a small pinch

Of salt followed by our pasta stir it on up cover it down and it’s time for us to season up our chicken we’re going to start off by adding a small amount of oil to the chicken i’m going to be using avocado oil however use your preferred

Oil once we’re finished we’re going to evenly spread the oil onto the chicken we’re going to hit it off with a small amount of salt keep in mind that some of the other seasonings contain salt so you don’t want to add too much but add enough to give it that nice flavor

We’re going to add some ground black pepper let’s add some adobo seasoning for that nice flare it’s going to definitely bring out the flavors in the chicken as well let’s follow up by adding some cajun seasoning once we’re finished everything is going to come together perfectly trust me

We’re also going to add some garlic powder add that garlic powder sprinkle it on sprinkle it on along with our onion powder as well let’s go ahead and add the regular paprika not the smoked but the regular the regular paprika is going to give it a nice color let’s add our smoked

Paprika when it comes to adding the smoked paprika we’re not going to add as much as the regular paprika now that we’re done adding our seasonings we’re going to take our trusty fingers and we’re going to pack the seasoning on in make sure it’s stuck and stick and stick and stuck because we

Want all of the flavor to be wet stuck onto this chicken flip it on over and we’re gonna repeat the same process on the other side as well so this part is gonna be a little bit quicker going to add that small drizzle of oil we’re going to hit it off with

Some adobo seasoning along with our cajun seasoning along with our garlic powder and onion powder however i’m not going to hit this side off with any salt add the paprika and smoked paprika last but not least we’re going to add our ground black pepper we’re going to repeat the same process

Get in there and make sure that seasoning is well combined onto the chicken once we’re done we’re going to allow the chicken to rest for just a quick second because we want all of the seasonings to seep into the chicken and in the meanwhile let’s move on to

Seasoning our shrimp first thing we’re going to do of course we’re going to hit it off with a small drizzle once again of that oil adobo seasoning cajun seasoning a little garlic powder as well as some onion powder and to tie it all together we’re going to add some old base seasoning

Add some regular paprika as well and last but not least let’s add our seafood seasoning aka cedar plank salmon seasoning if you can’t get your hands on it just use regular seafood seasoning if you don’t have it the old bay would definitely be enough at this point we’re

Going to make sure all of the seasonings is well incorporated with our shrimp so we’re going to mix it all up all right this is looking great so we are gonna put it to the side for a second and let’s move on to checking on

Our pasta let’s get in there give it a quick stir make sure everything is good nothing is sticking to the bottom of the pot as you can see everything looks great so we’re just going to cover it back on down time to pull out that cast

Iron skillet if you don’t have a cast iron skillet of course you’re going to use a regular heavy duty frying pan but we’re going to add some oil to skillet and once everything comes up to temperature we are going to start off with searing our chicken breast once we

Add the chicken breast to the pan we’re going to allow it to cook for about let’s say one and a half to two minutes until it’s nice and brown and perfectly cooked now here’s the thing if the chicken breast that you’re using is obviously thicker you’re going

To allow it to cook for a much longer time once we’re done i’m going to show you what everything looks like everything is looking great so far so we are going to flip the chicken on over as you can see it has a perfect sear going

On not to mention the flavors and the seasonings mmm it smells so delicious our chicken breast is cooked perfectly as you can see so we’re going to go ahead and remove it from the pan place it onto this plate right here and we’re gonna set it aside i know everything

Looks so delicious right about now so try not to get in there and eat the chicken all right leave the chicken alone just place it to the side and using that same pan we are going to add our sausages brown those sausages allow them to cook through evenly i think everybody knows

What cooked sausages look like so here’s the thing guys if you like yours a little bit darker allow it to sit in the pan for a longer time obviously at this point in time we are building our flavors we just removed the chicken from the pan all of those delicious

Seasonings and flavors from the chicken natural juices and everything is still locked into this pan you’re gonna get whatever flavor from whatever sausage you decide to use locked into this pan as well me i’m using smoked sausages so you’re going to have that little smoky element going on once we put everything

Together it’s going to be absolutely phenomenal we’re going to take those out of the pan as well place it into a bowl and set it aside using that same pan now i know the pan looks a little bit charred but it’s okay once it’s not too charred we’re in business

We’re going to go ahead and we’re going to add our shrimp great thing about it is shrimp cooks in a nano second all right so we’re going to allow the shrimp to cook on both sides once it turns pink you’re going to flip it on over allow it to turn pink on the

Other side as well once you’re done we’re going to remove those shrimp from the pan now take a quick look we have a perfectly flavored pan going on right here i know at this point you might not see much but trust me when i tell you these flavors what

They’re gonna be busting so here’s what we’re gonna do we’re gonna add some butter a small amount of course to the pan gonna mix it on up make sure the butter is perfectly melted and already you can see the butter deglaze in the bottom of the pan once

We’re done we’re going to get in there we’re going to add those onions and shallots if you don’t have the shallots of course you’re going to omit it just add the onions mix it on up allow those onions to cook for about 20 seconds we want all of the flavors to be

Released from the onions once they start to sweat down we’re gonna add our bell peppers let’s add those red and green bell peppers if you have yellow and orange add those bad boys as well it’s not going to change the flavors let’s mix it on up

And if you can tell the bottom of our pan is deglazed yes so that just means all of the flavors at this point is locked into our veggies it’s time to add those tomatoes guys let’s add our tomatoes combine that as well along with our pasta sauce of course

If you don’t have pasta sauce you can always add tomatoes in the can you can even add a small amount of tomato paste followed up with a little water at this time we’re going to add our heavy cream once we’re done we’re going to lower the

Flame just a bit give it a good stir make sure everything is well combined add the chicken broth to the mix to take the flavors to the top even more we’re going to add some sun-dried tomatoes after about five minutes this is what we have so far our sauce is beginning to

Slightly thicken up add some parmesan cheese now here’s the thing i noticed that the parmesan cheese in the bag it tends to clump together so what i prefer to do is or what i would prefer you to do is buy like the block of parmesan cheese and freshly grated into the sauce

Add a good amount of parmesan cheese because it’s going to have that nice sharp nutty flavor taste the sauce and you’re going to realize it tastes great but to heighten the flavors we’re going to add a little pinch of chicken bouillon and that’s definitely going to take it over the top

Alrighty our sauce is slightly reduced and this is what we’re looking for and this is the consistency and texture that you should be going for we’re going to add some of our sausages back to the sauce along with our shrimp we’re not going to add all the shrimp

Either just a small amount just to get the sauce started you know we want all of those flavors once again check out the chicken guys look at how gorgeous and how beautiful this chicken right here is everything you can tell that is nice and saucy not to mention

Most importantly is nice and tender now here’s the thing it’s one thing to have perfectly seasoned chicken but it’s as tough as nails that’s not cool at all so our chicken is moist and it has a ton of flavor going on that right there is everything we’re going to take some of

Our chicken breasts we’re going to add it to the sauce as well combine it really well make sure everything is well incorporated we’re going to add our drained pasta mix it all up really good make sure everything is well combined and as you can see we have our delicious

Shrimp add all of the sausage chicken to the sauce forget about adding anything to the top mix it all in there and you’re good to go after we’ve added everything we have our shrimp our sausage and our chicken we’re gonna hit it off with some freshly chopped parsley for that presentation of course

If you don’t have fresh as i mentioned earlier just you know go ahead and use dry parsley everything is looking absolutely amazing and i can guarantee it tastes even better our creamy cajun shrimp chicken and sausage pasta is done so with all of that being said guys i’m

  1. There is a minimal amount of "cajun" about this. #1 … don't ever wash your chicken.,all you're doing is spreading germs on everything when you wash your chicken. If you just cook it properly, you will be fine. #2, if you say pap a rika or Ole Bay, plz just stop… plz.
