Every year I make something with either Venison or Boar. This year, I decided to do both.
I’ll post the recipe and let you know the result in 8 hours !
EDIT:
here’s the ingredient list, keep in mind that English isn’t my first language, so some things may be mistranslated(or grammar sucks)
500gr Boar 500gr Venison 150gr Diced Bacon 125gr Shallot 2 Cloves of Garlic 2 Big Carrots 1 small Leek 250gr Parsnip 1 Celery stalk (may have mistranslated this one). Some Juniper Berries 2 Thyme branches 2 to 4 Cloves 2 Bay Leaves 1tsp Allspice. 250ml (alcohol free) Red Wine 250ml Wild Stock.

What was it like? We had a leg of venison in the slow cooker and after 9hrs on low it turned out the meat was off, so we had a vegetarian Christmas dinner instead 😅. It didn’t bother us too much and laughed it away (of course it was a shame), we had an amazing starter, enjoyed all vegetables for mains and had a cute little desert to finish.
