Hey you guys I’m sitting down to make my October menu today I am a bit of a mess I have no makeup on today I just kind of got up and got going with the day and it’s been a little crazy but it is October 1st and I am getting ready to
Plan my menu and so I have printed out my October printable um my October menu and so you can grab that on my site um Alicia hutchinson.mn of different ideas for the current month and just family fun ideas tips things like that and so I am I’m going to um go ahead and
Plan that and then I will show you guys what I planned I have been using this for the last couple of months um I really like Pioneer Woman recipes this one is a little bit different than her normal ones because it is very very quick and easy I don’t use a lot of
Packaged Foods or processed foods when I’m cooking and this actually does use quite a bit of packaged foods and processed foods but I just use it uh for a lot of ideas um so where she might buy uh like bisqui or something to make these scones I will just make my own mix
If that makes sense I’ve been using these recipes a lot the last maybe month or so since school has started and I just feel like they’re really quick and easy to use this time of year where I’m trying to kind of get back into the swing of school and things like that
And um and you can kind of tweak them a little bit to make them a little bit healthier long story short so I’m going to use this just kind of for some ideas and inspiration and then also I have some other videos that show kind of my
Menu plans but it helps me a lot to kind of have a theme for some of the different days Fridays we usually try to do something super easy or pizza just because it’s like our family movie night and it just is easy to kind of check
That off down the list Sunday nights I like to do leftovers so kind of clean out the fridge do leftovers at night and then that gives me a chance to also kind of relax on Sundays and um get ready for the week and then Tuesdays I like to do
Some kind of Taco so burrito taco salad nachos something like that so I kind of have those checked off and they are really easy to plan I also I I don’t have it right here in front of me but I also look at my calendar for the week so
I can look and say see if okay that Thursday is going to be super busy let’s do like a 15minute meal or pull something out of the freezer something like that so that’s kind of how I plan my menu I will come back on and show you
What I have planned all right guys so I’ve got my whole October menu filled in I have my planner here cuz it helps me to know what’s going on like we’re not going to be home this weekend and all that good stuff I did leave Saturdays open just because it’s it’s always kind
Of like a question mark on what we’re doing those days sometimes we will just grab something quick sometimes we’ll just pull something out of the freezer and Grill it it’s just kind of like up in the air and so I hate to plan something I did put to grill burgers on
One Saturday um but I don’t know I just like to leave it blank sometimes because I just don’t always know what we’re doing and then I don’t want to plan and then um you know just have a bunch of extra ingredients and sometimes too um a
Lot of times I should say my kids are off doing stuff so it’s just like myself and my husband home and so we’ll just you know make a scrambled egg or just something super super fast so anyway I’m just going to go down this way just to
Show you kind of how I did it because that’s how I actually planned it I just go down the days of the week I take off the days that we’re not going to be home or the days that I don’t want to make dinner or don’t want to plan a dinner so
Like I said Sundays are for leftovers uh Saturdays are pretty much open Fridays I have pizza down uh we do a sourdough pizza crust most of most times once in a while I’ll do like a yeast risen uh pizza crust but most of the time I just do um a Sourdough crust
Thursday nights I have since now it is fall I’ve got some soups and stews for this and you can see each one of these are from this cookbook right here and uh really great recipes that are really easy so I don’t use this recipe or this cookbook every month but it’s just
Something I’m using right now next month I could be using a totally different cookbook so I just have a lot of good cookbooks and I just find it easier just to grab one and you can see this in my other menu recipe or my other menu
Videos that I just grab a a um cookbook and then I just kind of use that for the month because it’s just easier than you know grabbing six cookbooks and like having all these different things going and then I usually just like display this on my counter for the month and
Then I note which recipes what page I can find them on so I can find them really easily so all of the recipes here uh are are found in this cook book uh so we’re doing a Tuscan chicken soup an 11 can bean soup which is really good all
Of these are super easy and and really yummy a white lasagna soup and a white chicken chili and then pretty much all of these I will probably make a loaf of bread either sourdough loaf if I have time or uh if I’m more busy on time I’ll
Just grab a or you know put a put a loaf in my uh bread maker um and then on Wednesday these are all sandwiches Italian grinder that one you can find on Pinterest pretty easily it’s really popular BLTs a classic stroli which is in this cookbook and then just turkey
Burgers on the grill Tuesdays these are all like a Mexican dish nachos enchiladas which are in this just some regular beef tacos a Mexican testata and tamale pie which is also in this book and then on Monday all right and then last I I have just all all the Monday
Dinners are like a one dish kind of Skillet or in the oven just a sheet pan up or something like that so we have mustard chicken all of these are in this cookbook uh we have mustard chicken with like a spinach side dish I didn’t write
That down uh a one pot sausage pasta a chicken and noodles um dish oh this one um this is like a kind of a lone main noodles kind of um a stir fry type but it’s the noodles are really really good and they’re on on
Page 183 and then I’m just going to add some grilled chicken and then a beef noodle Skillet and then last is a Teriyaki sheet pan supper which is right here and I’ve made this before and it’s really really good
