Hi everyone i’m marcy and today i’m making a really delicious sausage green chili and cheese breakfast casserole it’s ridiculously easy to make because it uses canned biscuit dough so if you’re a busy person you’re going to love it but first hit that subscribe button and let’s get cooking If you’ve been following my videos by now i’m sure you’ve figured out i love baking yeast bread from scratch that’s kind of my thing but that doesn’t mean i don’t appreciate a good shortcut when life gets busy and this recipe is perfect for that especially around the holidays

Here’s what you’re going to need one dozen eggs one can biscuit dough some ground sausage green chili now this is some of that chili from hatch that i roasted and froze earlier in the year but you can always buy chili in a can if you don’t have fresh also some grated cheddar cheese

About half a cup of milk salt pepper and garlic salt and of course i’ll put all of this in the description box below but let’s go ahead and get started i’m first going to cook the sausage over the stove in a large skillet you’ll want to do this however you normally would

Once it’s cooked just set it aside i’ve already greased a large 13 by 9 inch casserole dish now i’m just going to open up the can of biscuits cut them into quarters and place the pieces of dough into the [Applause] dish I’ll spoon a layer of the cooked sausage on top and try to get it on there as evenly as possible I’ll then chop up my green chili and sprinkle that on as well now i’ll take my grated cheese and put a nice layer covering the whole dish At this point i’ll preheat my oven to 350 degrees Then i’ll crack open the eggs into a large mixing bowl i’ll add the milk which is going to make the eggs fluffier i’ll season with salt pepper and garlic salt then just whisk it all together now i’ll pour the egg mixture over everything in the casserole dish

Then stick it in the oven for 30 minutes and that’s it Wow look at that [Applause] This breakfast casserole only looks like a lot of effort went into it but it seriously could not be any easier to make and it’s customizable to whatever you like if you prefer bacon or you want to throw in some mushrooms or some hash browns it all works for this recipe

I just happen to be from new mexico and we love our chili and put it on everything can you give this a taste it is so so yummy and you can tell it feeds the whole family so if you have people over or maybe for christmas morning it is the

Perfect thing to make for breakfast i really hope you try it thanks so much for checking out this video if you liked it give it a thumbs up and subscribe if you haven’t already i post one new recipe every week you can also follow me at marcy inspired on instagram

  1. Turned out great except my biscuits didn’t all cook through in the middle, not sure why even though I let it bake an extra 5 min. But will definitely keep this recipe in our breakfast rotation. Thank you so much!

  2. Just made this with bacon ham and cheddar in a 12-inch cast iron pan at 325F for 30 min. Might have been slightly better at 25 min but came out great. My son loved it! Thanks for the recipe 👍🏼😁

  3. This looks amazingly delicious. I could eat green chilies every day, that's how much I like them. Thank you.

  4. You should have diced potatoes ,bell peppers, onions, and garlic at the bottom liightly seasoned first. Then add green chili ,cheese and egg. It would have been much more delicious. I am from N.M.as well. I've got some excellent recipes as well. Thanks to my mom, aunts, and all the old ladies that taught me how to cook.
