I relate to this movie. It is out of my life's playbook.
What?is?this?film? the super pushy pilot dude that wants her to move after wgat…a month?- not hot. The writing is bad, the acting exaggerated. Australian beach dude acted well, though. The Protagonist jusr acts weird and entitled, getting pissed cause a dude she had 2conversations with fuckes someone else? It‘s fine to get upset, of Course. But her behavior? And then the "i leave my dog with a complete stranger without even talking to them about it" trope, "eventhough they say they dont want a dog" -thta was just sacrilegous writing!!! What best friend says "sounds great" if u tell them you are moving to duba to live with a pushy dude whom you met weeks ago?!?!

I love this movie, it brings back memories from the 7 years I lived in Australia with my family, we all became Australian citizens too, but moved back to the UK some years ago. I hope we all can go back for a visit in the near future 🙂

This is Perfect Messy Love, not Perfect Messy Holiday. Very low budget. Watch it for the scenery, not the story. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't perpetuating the myth that women MUST have a man on their arm at all times or they're a failure. Well, actually, it would still be pretty bad– Emily is a freak, getting all bent over someone she's barely spoken to not playing the role of the prince in shining armor and throwing himself at her feet. And why is there a set of bunk beds in the corner of her studio apartment???

Even for a low budget production the acting is mediocre as the directing and the storyline. He flashed his willy at the first 2 minutes they met , he slept with her best friend in her own bed , he spread his seed to his neighbor and after talking to him a few times on video calls she decided she in love with him . She went from one type of player to another , that's not a messy romance is a disaster .
Crazy to stay for a guy when he can’t wait for a meeting with a publisher.
