Has anyone else receive these weird pork chop cuts? I have gotten them about 5 times in the recent months. Every time I have contacted support and they refund me for the meat and the past 2 times I have been assured that it will not happen again. Does anyone know what cut of pork I AM getting? It has a weird dark section with a different texture and taste. Sometimes they also smell gross. I assume it’s close to the chop, but not a chop itself. I love the pork chop meals so it’s always such a bummer. Just wondered if anyone else has same experience. I’m in the Detroit area.

That’s what happens when you cut meat with scissors

Pork has both light and dark areas, it’s normal. Does the smell go away if you rinse it? If so I wouldn’t worry.

  3. It’s the shoulder end of loin, but just cut so it has like no fat on it, likely they’ve cut it in such a way that they’re both identical weights. They’re pretty much medallions really.

We get those too. As long as they don’t have a funky scent, you’re okay. But pork can have light and dark areas.

  5. They look fine. It’s pork shoulder area I think.

The meat portions get smaller and smaller I feel like

These are actually the best pork chops to get. That darker area will be more flavorful and way more tender than the loin part of the chop.

That long pork, it’s an unusual cut previously found in Papua New Guinea
