Chef Dom shows you how to make this quick & easy chicken piccata recipe. Chicken Piccata is tender breast of chicken sautéed in a silky butter lemon sauce and capers. You will be amazed of how simple and quick this dish is to prepare. Pasta or rice is a great compliment to the Piccata sauce.
Piccata originated in Italy, in the Campania region where it is traditionally made with veal. Here in the United States, chicken has replaced veal as the more popular choice. The delicateness of chicken offer itself perfectly to piccata, but you can also make it with pork or stay true to Italian tradition and use veal.

I here that should do it really is one more piece all right we’re gonna add uh some butter in here with the garlic nice did you know that chicken piccata is actually an italian-american dish Go figure like spaghetti and meatballs they don’t have spaghetti meatballs in the restaurants in italy we went to yeah you know like they did they did start the veal picada but chicken was more popular here in the state you know what works really good with this also with pork

Pork is really great with this uh piccata sauce instead of using the chicken it’s really good all right we’re gonna add our capers you don’t want to use too many capers because it’s very salty okay but yeah beautiful small cases i like the smaller yeah all right good looking good

We’re gonna add a little wine in there I love capers now we’re going to add our chicken stocking in now i will save a little bit because we don’t want to let that come to a boil put parsley in there and some and some lemon that’s okay it’s got the seeds in there spit him on the floor [Laughter]

Did you hear him did you hear what he said he said you want to spit the seeds on the floor [Laughter] all right we’re gonna put a little more butter in there oh yeah that is good it smells good you’re full uh well more for us then well yeah that’s not that

Right i’m gonna go ahead and put the chicken in there all right see that it thickens it up already because of the flour on the uh the chicken i might add something oh baby nice i wouldn’t chef very good perfect okay that’s great very nice nice and lemony you can taste the capers

  3. That looks soooooooooo lush!! ……………BUT ………. Cooking wine? ……….. 'COOKING' wine?????? Why don't you use real wine? Your Nonna is probably slapping you're boys after the video is finished !! 🤣🤣🤣 Also I noticed watching your videos like meatballs etc and you never use bread from a loaf used with breadcrumbs instead of shop bought ?? ANOTHER slap from Nonna due !! …….. But then after that?………………….. then a big kiss!!!! 🤣🤣❤❤ xxxxx Julia UK

  4. Great recipe thanks for sharing. I needed another chicken recipe to add to my rotation. Hope that dog got a little bite.

  5. Hi brothers. I am Ann from New Jersey. I just made your recipe for Veal and Peppers. It came out good. I love your recipes. Thank you.

  6. I love when some of the older videos pop up in my feed! Piccata is one of Lisa and my favorite dishes, and one of my favorites to cook! It's a fun process to build up everything that results in that wonderful sauce! I make mine almost exactly the same!

  7. Ok to use olive oil and butter? Why not use same pan and deglaze it with wine? More likely to thicken with scraped up flour?

  8. glad i found your channel. real recipes for real people. your oos and aas almost sound like sex lol, too much

  9. I appreciate your videos. It helps me to make something worth eating. My store bought tomato sauce tastes abit sharp like alot of acid though, next day in refrig the eggplant parm tastes better, no acid flavor in the sauce. Comments?
