Perfect for making in a large batch and sticking in the fridge for later. Ready to eat with no re-heating.
* 1 large box elbow macaroni (or 2 boxes mac and cheese, don’t use the cheese) ~ $2 * 2x 7oz cans of tuna ($3-$5 depending on if you want the fancy stuff) * 1/2 large bag of frozen peas (~$2) * 1/2 lb block of cheese, cubed (any kind, but cheddar or co-jack are popular)(~$2-$4) * 1/2 cup of mayonnaise (~$1)
1. boil water, cook macaroni until el-dente (~2 minutes less than on box) 2. strain and rinse macaroni in cold water 3. add rinsed macaroni, cubed cheese, tuna, mayo, and frozen (from freezer) peas to bowl and mix 4. Serve up immediately or chill for later in the fridge
Total Cost $10-$14, makes 6-8 servings for ~$2/serving

Is it good cold? Saving this recipe but think I’d prefer to eat it warm…
