I posted about my homemade cannoli shells recently, and someone asked to see the final result when the cannoli were done. Here they are, all filled and decorated! However, a confession – the time and energy I dedicated to making the shells for the first time left me with little leftover for the filling. So, I did not make my own cream as I had planned, but bought it from the local Italian grocery. 100% homemade is my goal for next year.

If you can get your hands on it, try ricotta next time. 2 parts ricotta/ 1 part sugar and mix until smooth (no heat)!
