Ramen, pizza, pasta, salads, and rice dishes.

I will put it on mostly anything. I mean, it is insanely good on pizza. Any type of rice or noodle dish, incredible.

The one thing I use it in, that I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it is, is just a traditional chicken soup. With pizza, or grilled meats, it’s like, “Yeah, this taste like amazing pizza with chili crisp on it, and it’s amazing”, but with chicken soup it’s like, “This is an entirely new thing. It was chicken soup, but now it’s something even better.”

Dumb Question: Are yall cooking with this and how? or is it always a “garnish” at the end?

A lot but my fave is eating with wonton noodle soup.

All foods except most desserts. I literally put chili crisp on everything.

Just slathered a bunch on a breakfast bowl with rice, kimchi, a fried egg, and some wakame. It was great.

I think the best / shortest answer is “Yes”. 😁

  9. Yes.

Soups. Sandwiches. Sauces. Noodles/pasta. Curry. Meats. I even brush my teeth with it.

If not on food that’s going in my mouth, then my tongue.

Does anyone want to swap recipes for their chili crunch? I’ve been making a batch once every couple months for almost 2 yrs now, and I want to know how others are making theirs. I’ll start, and if anyone ends up making my recipe, I would greatly appreciate some feedback.

    Garlic Chili Oil 🌶️

    1 cup neutral oil

    1/2 cup sliced shallots (70g)

    1/2 cup sliced garlic (70g)

    1/4 cup red pepper flakes

    1/4 cup almond slivers

    2 tsp paprika

    1 tsp cayenne

    1 Tbsp onion powder

    1 Tbsp grounded sesame seeds

1 Tbsp brown sugar (hearty scoop)

    1/2 Tbsp MSG

    1 tsp salt

    1 Tbsp soy sauce

    3 Tbsp sesame oil

Garlic and Shallots sliced thin on mandolin, fried in neutral oil low heat until golden brown, don’t burn!!!
Drain hot oil into dry ingredients, let garlic and onions dry, makes them crispy. Maybe cook garlic and onions separately. Once dried, throw in with other ingredients.
Almonds weren’t fried, don’t think it needs to be.
Sesame oil thrown in at end with soy sauce.

Ramen, rice dishes, noodle dishes, dumplings

  18. I really enjoy it on avocado toast. Smashed avocado, bit of feta, some toasted sesame seeds and a little bit of coriander, drizzle of chilli oil. Delightful!
