Aldi!
Maybe skip the little rubber ducky next time
Edit: also I have to say you’re buying a fair amount of unhealthy stuff that you really don’t need, if your budget is quite strict

Do you already have the essentials? Flour, sugar, eggs, milk, salt, herbs?

It’s not what I’d spend $70 on. I’d have bought a chicken or two, a pork shoulder, a bag of potatoes and onions, a dozen eggs, oatmeal, a box of Bisquick, a couple big bags of frozen veg, chicken stock, a jar of salsa, tortillas and brick cheese.

What meals do you think you’re going to be making from that bag of tricks? Budget food means calculating what you’re spending your money on, not buying something because it’s cheap or looks good. You have a severe lack of meals even after spending $70.
You’ve got cereal without no milk. Three kinds of meat and the only vegetable is broccoli. You’ve spent more money on putting spices in food rather than making good food. You can’t be broke because no one would ship this way if they were hurting. I know.

Anything that comes “premade” like the pancake mix and cinnamon rolls are going to be more expensive.

Good haul. If you are on a. Budget, ditch the beef. It’s over 15% of total bill. I would replace it with chicken (cheaper typically) or beans. That’s just me though.

24 slices of Kraft cheese will set you back $5 where I’m at. Absolutely nuts you bought the name brand

You should probably buy foods that are less prefabricated like flour, and dry beans. A lot of that stuff that is at least partially prefab is more expensive as well as often being less healthy. Using that savings to buy some more vegetables or fruit would also be a good idea the broccoli is a good start but you could add a red bell pepper or something. A poor diet costs you more in the long run due to the health problems it causes.

If beef is your thing, try buying the 1lb ground beef rolls at Walmart. They’re $3.97 on the west coast. Aside from the $11 beef it looks like the pantry ingredients could contribute significantly to the cost. I highly recommend purchasing those from dollar tree or dollar general or even a grocery store where you can avail of coupons. If there’s name brand always opt for generic.
You could potentially save on your carbs by buying a loaf or rolls that can be used for both sandwiches and as a bread for your dinner.
If you’re not picky about cheese and can live without sharp cheddar, I recommend buying uncut blocks of American cheese at the deli. Sometimes it’s cheaper and you can shred it for other things.
I agree with other redditors about the pancake mix. If you chose this for convenience then that’s fine, but if you have time, then make them from scratch.
Maybe start slowly buying into key pantry items like flour, spices, yeast. Making from scratch will save money in the long run.
