I assumed this was just red pepper powder. Google translate says there are many other ingredients. What can I use this for? Thanks!

  1. I’m almost certain that it’s just gochugaru and I think that label is just their business card taped/glued onto that plastic baggie. The other items listed are probably what other items they sell.

Looks like it’s red pepper powder so use it as you would gochugaro powder. I use it in tteokbokk, sundubu jiggae and just about every Korean stew type recipe there is.

The texture looks like there’s moisture when looking at the product itself, so all the listed ingredients are probably in that seasoning mix? Where’s the rest of the original package? The product itself isn’t named on the bit of label you saved. It’s just the company name and the ingredient list.

I wanna say they created some sort of a gochugaru based rub, but there isn’t any salt, pepper, onion, or garlic. It’s almost like a dry version of ssamgjang since it has doenjang, which is also listed as an ingredient. I have questions! Lol

Treat it like a no-salt added variation of ssamjang type seasoning mix? Can call them, too, to ask what it is.

Eta: What did it taste like?

Did it come in the ziploc? If so, you’re braver than I am

It’s gochugaru. I assume you used google translate on the yellow box on the bottom left of the label? Going line by line,
    1. “various veggies/corn/chicken”
    2. “egg, dwenjang (Korean fermented bean paste), beans, Asian pear, seedlings”
    3. “sun dried gochugaru”

So it looks like the farm just put in a list of things they sell and put in the actual product in the last line (left of the lil veggies). Confusing but looks like you bought the right thing.

  6. I’m assuming you’re in the DMV area? Common for stores like HMart to sell local produce like this. Beans, nuts, powders, etc

The listed items refer to things produced by “초원농장”
