Good morning friends I just got an exciting package in the mail today and I figured I would bring you along and show you um one of my seed hauls for this year it is January and it is about time to be starting to plan your spring 2024

Garden um I like to get mine all planned out in January start to get all of my seeds in so I know exactly what I am going to do when spring gets here and it’s time to plant and I’ve got a lot of peppers and tomatoes that need to be

Started in probably late January probably in the next two or 3 weeks um late January early February because they do take a long time herbs take a long time to grow so I’m excited to get this in the mail and I figured I would bring

There so I can keep a record of what I bought this year this is it looks like a free seed pack it is a salad bowl mix it’s a premium artisian blend of greens that will rival any salad mix from the store H it’s got lots of different varieties

In it and colors it says make a nice salad love I’m thankful for that because we love salads so I will definitely try that those I actually have a new hydroponic system that I just got so I might try to sprinkle some of those in

I’m going to be doing a video on that pretty soon I just got it and I got to get it set up and we’re going to try to grow in it I’ve never tried hydroponics in the house but I have seen Mike at Mike’s chaotic gardening doing it and

Tried these either um but it’s says that they’re great for um tomato paste pizza sauce pasta sauce so that is what I’m excited about cuz I want to make sauce out of it now these last year there are three or four looks like three these I ordered from Mi Gardener last year and

They are Kentucky Wonder pole beans um I love P beans because I have my cattle panel trellises in my garden um if I can find a picture of it from last year I will put a picture up here for you so you can see what they look like growing on those cattle paddle

Taces um I found it’s the best way to grow po beans but last year I grew these from Mi Garder they’re Kentucky Wonder pole beans and they were amazing it was the best thing I grew last year besides my peas um I had green beans everywhere and

I had tried other brands or other kinds of pole beans last year and they did not do as well I think I did a Blue Lake pole bean and I might have gotten an eighth of what I got off of these Kentucky wonders so if you are looking

For some green beans that you can can I love to can all of mine I did a canning video on that if you want to go check it out but if you are looking for the best pole beans try the Kentucky Wonder P be they grew absolutely great I mean I had

Just pounds and pounds and pounds they were growing faster than we can eat them so okay I’ve got Tabasco Peppers now last year I started Tabasco peppers and they grow really really well but they take so long to grow we got our first Frost right as they were starting to ripen on

Me so I’m going to try planting them inside just a little bit earlier this year so the plants are just a touch bigger before springtime when it’s ready to plant we usually can’t plant until around Mother’s Day middle of May I can put plants outside for peppers and

Tomatoes um the Colder Weather stuff I can put in the middle of April but I’m in Colorado and it’s still snowing and really cold but I got jalapeno peppers and this is for cowboy candy I love to make cowboy candy it’s my husband’s favorite and that’s just a pickled

Jalapenos they’re sweet and spicy jalapeno r pish I like to chop mine up and you can put it on anything this year I am trying Keystone resistant giant bell peppers I’ve always bought California wers but this year I figured I would try something different so I’m excited about

These and this is National National pickling cucumber I use these um this is my favorite for canning pickles and I did some videos on that I think I made bread and this year um but I did some videos on that and these make a wonderful pickle and this year I’m trying these

Ones for the first time too this is a a larger cucumber for like salad it’s a sumar su sum probably butchering the name Su suer cucumber I’m going to try this this year and see how this one does I’ve never tried that excited to try that one and

Got to have have some herbs for my tomato sauce so this is Mammoth basil and I love the mammoth because I seem to get a whole lot of it I think I’m going to try a little bit of it in my little arrow Garden setup thing that I had just

Got and I also have Rosemary always a great herb you can dry and this is another one of our favorites it’s just spinach this is just a giant Noble spinach love spinach you can always put it in your freezer when you have too much Growing and last year we tried red Romain instead of regular Roma and we really really liked it so I went ahead and I got red roma again this year and I got some onions these are Utah yellow Sweet Spanish Onions so those I’ll have to get started early so

They are ready to go out in about April and this year I’ve also got birdhouse gourds I don’t know if you saw my gardening videos from last year um we had birdh house gourds growing everywhere they are so pretty to watch um they just grow so easy you don’t

Don’t have to do any maintenance or anything I plant them and they grow up the cattle panels the paddle panels I’ll see if I can find a picture of that too for you but these are very impressive so if you get a a place where you can grow

Them I definitely recommend to try to grow them up some kind of trellis or even a fence or something because they just take over and they are so pretty to watch grow and you can haul them out you can make bird houses with them and I got sugar pie pumpkins these

Are one of my favorite little pumpkins um I like to puree pumpkin I I usually bake it and then I puree it and then I just put it in the fr freezer so I have pumpkin so if you want to make pumpkin bread or pumpkin muffins or even pumpkin pie but

I love these from Mi Gardener they are great seeds um I grew these last year and got lots of pumpkins unfortunately the squirrels I left them sitting out on my back porch out by the railing um it was around Halloween time and I hadn’t brought them in yet and got them

Processed and unfortunately my little squirrel Critters and my and enjoyed the pumpkin before I got a chance to so I have no pumpkin in my freezer this year actually I think I have one pack from the year before so I am hoping these grow this year I need to get some

Pumpkin in my garden this year I made pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving and I had to buy canned pumpkin this year so that was the first in a lot of years but the squirrels enjoyed Halloween pumpkins and then this is just a fun one oh almost dropped it this one I got last

Year and they’re mixed Cactus seeds and I started these indoor last year I just started them in a little pan and they actually grew really really well but I messed up I left them out when we had our first freeze and our first Frost and

I messed up and I killed them and they were I mean they don’t grow real fast because they are Cactus but I was very impressed I would have to say um there’s 60 seeds in here and I sprinkled them all in the container I would say probably all 60 seeds last year sprouted

So these were very very impressive I actually wish I would have bought two or three of these cuz I like to try a whole lot more um but oh I had little cactuses growing all over I mean they were probably I don’t know maybe about three

Maybe 4 Ines tall on some of them they were doing really really good at the end of summer and I messed up we got our first freeze and they were sitting outside and the poor little things turned to Mush I did bring them in I’ve been watering them hoping maybe

Something will come up or something will live but I don’t think so they kind of turned to Mush on me so I’m going to try these again I’m actually going to be planting these probably in the next week or so because they do take a long time

To grow but they are fun to watch and they were all different shapes all different sizes it just it’s a unique mix of cactus seeds so this one will be fun to watch so follow along if you would like to see me get a lot of these

Seeds I’m a lot of these seeds I’m going to be starting indoors here in the next week or two um definitely got to get going it’s time to get tomatoes and peppers and like the cactus and all the spices the herbs and stuff um beans won’t go out until April so those go
