My wife loves to buy off brand Mac and cheese to my no bueno, so I have to flavor the stuff up with my popcorn cheese powder. Comes out pretty darn good.

Hard pass with this method but whatever works for you. I try to avoid processed and fake food/flavoring as much as possible but on the rare occasion I do make box Mac and cheese, I’ll just melt some actual cheese into it

I’ve wanted to get something like this for awhile, where’d you buy it?

Wow, what a hack. This sub blows lately.

Can confirm this stuff is great. I add it to my mashed potatoes or sprinkle some in with my seasonings while making burgers. Alton Brown was who got me into it. *It makes a great milkshake too*

My mom gave me a giant bag of cheese powder, she ordered it on accident trying to buy oatmeal in bulk. Now I’m stuck with a giant bag of cheese powder. It does come in handy for Mac and cheese and i use it as a thickener in anything that needs cheese, like broccoli and cheese soup, but I have enough to last until the end of times lol

Great idea! Game changer for bland mac and cheese.

Loved this since I’ve been gluten free the gluten free mac and cheese is so expensive this is really good for other gluten free noodles. The augason farms one is good too.

I do the same thing. I love it.

Why not just add real cheddar cheese in? Or Parmesan? Just because the box Mac n cheese uses powdered cheese (because it doesn’t spoil/is full of preservatives) doesn’t mean you have to…

I use that combined with dry smoke and paprika and some other seasonings to make home-made “doritos” (they suck btw, but they’re fun to make).

While living in Russia, I would sometimes just want a good American comfort food. Bringing boxes and boxes of Kraft Mac n cheese took up too much luggage space, so I got this and bought pasta locally. It worked like a charm. I also learned to make ranch dressing from scratch. Win win.

I throw in half a block of Boursin, it’s amazing

Sometimes I add this to cheap ramen packets. Boil the noodles with about 1/4 packet of the ramen seasoning. Slowly sprinkle in too much cheese powder while stirring to avoid clumps. I like it.

Where do you find this!!!!
Cabot cheese in VT USED to make a white cheddar but it got discontinued. I’d love to find this if it’s real cheese and not just “popcorn powder”
