I decided to make Detroit style pizza today, in honor of all of the state of Michigan’s various recent football successes. (Go blue and also go lions!)

I live in the Philly area and brick cheese isn’t readily available here, but I found butterkäse at Wegmans and that performed astoundingly well. I blended it with Jack as a first attempt to be safe, but next time I think I’ll go butterkäse only. Highly recommended.

  1. I am a big fan of kenji’s pan pizza. But I’ve never understood Detroit style. Why the lines of sauce?
