These taste absolutely vile. Decent heat though.

Not sure why you’d do that to yourself lol

I believe you when you say that they taste vile but for some reason I still really want to try that first one…

If you’re gonna make a chile-infused wine why wouldn’t you start with something like Cab Franc or Merlot that already has some of those flavors present?

Yeah I haven’t had much success with spicy booze besides bloody marys, I had a ghost pepper IPA and I’m glad they only sell it a bottle at a time, it was heartburn in a bottle.

Well probably cause these types of “specialty liquors” are supposed/meant to be shaken into a cocktail to give a different variation of an already established cocktail or whatever cocktail the owner ends up creating. Not for drinking straight, that’s your first and biggest mistake.

Edit: I’ll leave my comment as it stands but I now see that it’s wine….ewww…although I did encounter a pretty good jalapeno-honey wine in north Texas last fall that made me taken aback by how delicious it was. But I don’t think hotter peppers would pair well with wine at all, they have to much of a bold flavor to attempt to combine it with how delicate the flavor profile of wine can be.

I made a pineapple orange habanero mead that turned out amazing.

That’s disappointing. When you purchase a bottle from a prestigious Pennsylvanian vineyard you should feel confident that you’re taking home a world class award winning product

I went to a winery once where they had a hot pepper wine. The trick was to treat it like a shot. Put some cheese whiz on your finger, lick it off, take the shot, and it tasted like pepper jack cheese. Not sure if something like that would work for you?

Haha my burning man nickname is Chef 1.2 because we had some 1.2 million scov tequila for the weeks. I was the only one slamming it and cooking meals for the camp without dying. No pepper flavored alcohol is good but it’s a fun party trick

I hate spicy alcohol, but new mexico has green chile wine that tastes damn good

Seven Mountains Winery in State College, PA has a spicy ice wine called “Fire and Ice,” that is pretty good.

I would try to use them in a vinaigrette, maybe try using one to deglaze a pan to add some kick.

That bottle’s label with the various cheesy fonts screams “Leave me on the shelf!”

Lol I’ll chug some jalapeño tequila before I sip that 😩
