Truth is I don’t even know if it’s gone bad… but it LOOKS like it has. Anyways, any advice?

In the future, you could put it in smaller portions and put them in the freezer. Then you only have a small amount out and potentially going bad at a time

It’s bad. Sorry. I find when I use low sugar recipes they spoil faster. I’ve gone back to the good old certo box recipe that uses a lot of sugar. I make the freezer jam recipe. I also use 1/2 pint or smaller jars so they don’t spoil before we can finish them.

You could look into canning in 4oz or 8oz jars. Jams can be water bathed and you don’t need a pressure canner.

  4. You should also definitely ensure your jars are sanitized with hot water and not just cleaned with soap and water.

Did you can it using a tested recipe? And keep it refrigerated once open?

r/canning could probably help you better than looking for a hack – this is something related to food safety, not a food hack

  7. Most things don’t last longer than 5-7 days refrigerated, a month is a very long time. Freeze portions of it next time.
