I have never seen a shape like this in my life and I do a decent amount of cooking.

I’ve had some separation but never anything like this! :/

They cut it into two halves and were sloppy, leaving the middle entirely on the other half. I ran into this quite a few times when cutting Focaccia bread, but you could also imagine cutting a really disformed potato into slices and have that happen.
