I soaked them overnight on the counter for 12 hours starting at 8pm last night.
I added them to the slow cooker around 8:30 am. It’s maybe two cups of dry beans, water, and various spices/powders.
Im worried that I added the water in too cold and that it stayed in the danger zone too long. Are these bubbles indicative of bacteria growing?

I forgot to add. It’s about noon now. So they’ve been on high for like 3.5 hours at this point
Take the froth off as it will have a more bitter taste
Do not cook dried beans in a crock pot.

Be careful. Sounds and looks like they may have fermented due to oversoaking. If that is the case, they may not be safe to eat. Do they smell or taste sour? They could be spoiled.
Beans are inexpensive. I would not risk it.
They are fine. Things are bubbling because your slow cooker is on high, and the water taken changed color from whichever spices you had added.
