In order to make 1500(ish) work for me, I need to put a lot of effort into each meal to make them interesting and get as much bang possible out of every calorie. Fiber Gourmet pasta (obviously ziti pictured here, but same nutrition) is a godsend, and I finally found a decent jarred marinara that is only 50 cal per half cup serving (Lidia’s). The meatballs are Trader Joe’s and they are fine for what they are, but usually I will make this same meal with leftover chicken breast instead.
