A friend is on a deployment in Korea and sent me these to try. Not sure how this is going to go.

Shin Ramyun is the absolute KING of flavour.

The one in the middle are my favorite. Add an egg and a slice of cheese

Nothing crazy spicy here just yummy

Middle one with a soft boiled/poached egg and throw in whatever meat you want and it’s delicious

As everyone else has said Shin is top tier.

  5. Koreangonebad

The middle one. Add egg and kraft single cheese at end of cook. Don’t use that fancy bullshit cheese.

I love spicy food and I tried Buldak last seen and it was a nightmare lol 😂

shin ramyun is a staple in korean households. you can add spring onions and drop an egg to poach inside and even a slice cheese to make it creamy. there’s also a ramen trend of adding kewpie mayo without the soup and it’s pretty good with the shin. never tried the other two but they look pretty interesting.

  8. Well, if he’s any type of friend, I bet he searched high and low for the hottest of the hot. That’s what friends do!😂

The Buldak on the left is part of a series of noodles you can get here that are typically solidly spicy and delicious (it’s the 2x and 3x that can be truly challenging). Note that they are a sauce noodle, not a soup (drain it then add the flavour packets).

This one is Jalapeño Cheese flavour which I’ve never seen in North America but I’d be excited to try!

You should definitely try the original Buldak Black noodle and some of the other flavours! I love the carbonara and the curry variants.

I can confirm the ramen in Korea is different than the ones made and distributed in the US. Regulations demand the content of the powder be different here. The ones in Korea pack more flavor in a way that I cant describe other than straight up better.

Shin is the best packaged ramen there is, I think.

Middle is my go to. add an egg when it’s cooking and chuck in leftovers. Banging.

That middle one is delicious, it has been a regular of mine for a decade

Take that Shin, boil the noodles by themselves, take the seasoning packet, veggies, a spoon of cream cheese and about a tablespoon of water, melt/stir all that together, stir in noodles.

Shin noodles r the best they sell them in the UK I eat one almost everyday and then crack an egg in the broth and microwave its like a noodle broth omelette really nice

I’ve had two of the three. Get them at a market outside Dallas. Not very hot, just tasty.

  17. Shin black is amazing.. expensive here but super delicious.

What a good friend. HE goes on deployment and YOU get a care package 😂

2 out of three of those can be purchased at supermarkets in the US.

Is the korean version of shin any different from the US version?

  21. Shin Ramyeon is the goat. They make this dry version too which tastes great, I feel it really brings out the best flavor.

  22. Scruffy_Nerf_Hoarder

Straight to the bathroom is my guess

  23. sometimesifeelgood

I basically live off of shin black noodles. The kind with the bone broth is so delicious

  24. superpie12

I get all that at my local grocery store in the southern US.
