Hey guys! I used to treat myself to pastries once in a while and disregard the count, but have been finding it unsustainable and want to be able to factor it into my calorie count more often. Baking and pastry making is such a huge hobby of mine, counting calories for baked goods I make from scratch is easy, but my issue is going out and trying new cafes and pastries. I do enjoy myself multiple pastries a week, do you have any tips for counting and factoring it in? Ex. I weighed this kouign amann I bought and it was 90 grams, 7up can for size reference, how many calories could it be? Thank so much!

In my opinion you can have a pastry once on a while. But to integrate it in your weekly dieet maybe eat half a pastry with a side of carrot (or other veggie/fruit)
To count it you could track al the ingredients and divide by how many you made
Have you tried asking in r/caloriecount ? You might get more traction there.
I would use nutrition info from the USDA food database: [https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/index.html](https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/index.html). They have nutrition info for most common pastries, etc. Or for more specialized pastries that might not be in this database, you can just search for something similar. A lot of pastries have a similar caloric density.
Maybe 365 calories assuming the makeup is similar enough to a croissant
