Okay, the results are in, and I can’t believe how different these three sauces are. First up, the OG. It’s delicious and a little oxidized since it’s been open a while. Still, it’s rich, sweet, and bright. Second, the new HF. It’s very sweet and garlicky but dull. It tastes good, but it’s much less complex than the original. Third, Underwood Ranches. The original source of all HF peppers. It’s delicious. Noticeably less sweet than Huy Fong, but very bright (more acidic) and spicy. It’ll be far more versatile than the HFs due to the better balance. I’m a fan of the new (old) guy in town.

Did you do the taste test blindfolded? You could easily recognize the old just by the color.

Underwood is definitely better than new huy fong but it’s still a little too sweet for my liking. I wish they could match the recipie of the og a little better.
