MIL went on a cruise and, knowing I love hot sauce, got me this bottle. It wasn’t nearly as hot as the bottle / label made it out to be.

Taste: 3/10

I have this bottle in my mini fridge at work. I’d say your review is right on the money. Flavor just isn’t there. It’s best as a supplemental sauce to dial up the heat. Pairs well with diablo sauce on tbell. Not really a ground for raving about but it’s usable at least 🤷🏼♂️

Every single time I’ve tried a hot sauce in a grenade bottle, I’ve come away disappointed.
Might be the brand, but they’re just not as hot as they should be based on the ingredients listed.

I received a bottle of this brand but it was a different flavor. I actually really liked it, the taste was great. Can’t remember what exactly it was though.

“American grown cayenne and reaper peppers”
In case you didn’t know, food labels have their ingredients listed in order of weight. Since a mix of 2 peppers is listed as one ingredient, one cannot tell the relative amount of peppers to each other or even compare it to the other ingredients. This seems deceptive and should maybe be illegal if it’s not already. Cayenne peppers and reaper peppers are so wildly different that they shouldn’t be listed as a single ingredient mix in my opinion

As a general rule of thumb, hot sauces in a gimmicky bottle aren’t great

I used to work down the road from this place and the guy came by and dropped off a ton of free bottles. The guy was cool but the sauce just didn’t do it for me. I had it on stuff that’s already seasoned but on its own the flavors just not there.
