Yea I have a similar experience every week with various onions or other vegetables. I do not know where they get such tiny things

Though in my experience the appropriate size for the HF dish!

That’s usually the perfect size, at least. Any smaller and i’m mad but I hate having leftovers, which is exactly why I use HF.

They give those ‘small’ onions because that is how much onion you need in the dish.

If it’s for the burger, it’s the perfect size. I could never find one this small in a grocery store, but, hey, the size is perfect for the meal

I’ll never get over the massive onions in the US 😀 The HF one is the normal size in Germany. It’s a German company, so maybe that’s why they base their meals on small (for the US) onions haha

Yes onions come in different sizes

You ever grown onions? They come in all different sizes. Bigger ones will be selected for supermarkets because that’s what customers think onions should look like. Consider the small one a ‘wonky’ onion.
