There are very few things in life better than burgers and a while back I shared the recipe of the burger that changed my life that is the most easiest delicious thing you will ever put in your mouth until today as this experiment has taught me that I can make a burger even
Better because this is the burger that changed my life version 2.0 so let’s do it now in order to make a great burger there are very few ingredients we need buns meat and cheese that’s it and first we’re gonna start out with meat I highly recommend grinding your own beef if you
Can but I can understand a lot of people don’t have the time but if you choose to do so you will be better at least for me for the best quality Burger I like to do 80 20 and a mix of brisket and Chuck it just produces an incredible flavor but
Most importantly pay attention to the ratio 80 lean and 20 fat is the key once the blend is done you want to make balls I like to shoot mine for three ounce balls measuring them out we ensure that every single burger is exactly the same because once done I now have my balls
Ready to go now the next important ingredient is going to be the cheese now this might be very controversial especially because in the beginning I said use the best quality stuff but trust me on this one go with American cheese for burgers it is just better now the very next ingredient is also
Extremely important as it’s 50 of your burger we’re talking about the bun I like to make my own buns but in case you don’t want to make your own go with pre Yash buttons for these Burgers they are just better now the next thing is a
Sauce I like to keep my sauce really simple first I throw in a good amount of mayo followed by ketchup a tiny bit of mustard and to finish it off some Worcestershire Sauce mix everything well and combine those ingredients together because the sauce is done it does not
Get any easier than that now as far as Smash Burgers goes this is really all you need however today I found out how to make them even better but I’m not quite sure which one will be best so we have two contenders the very first one
Is this ranch seasoning and I did a four experiment with steaks with this and the results were just incredible that’s when you guys told me that you use this for burgers and they make your Burgers 10 times better well I’m a little skeptical but we are definitely going to be using
This and seeing how it’s gonna taste because if anything can enhance a burger I’m willing to give it a try our next Contender is going to be this the classic French onion dip take a look at the ingredients it is onion salt buttermilk yeast and chives I don’t know
About you but the combination of that sounds incredible to me and when you take a closer look it’s just powder but I have no idea how it’s going to taste on my burger talking about that since we have everything ready the next thing to do is to go ahead and get them cooked
And here’s how I like to do it first we want to use a griddle cast iron is best because you really want your Burgers to stick so I like to First lay the meat down and using some parchment paper right on top so that they don’t get
Stuck smash them down to a quarter inch and as soon as the juices start flowing to the top it is time to use the seasoning for the regular Burgers we’re going to be using just salt but for the other two you already know the ingredients then using a paint scraper
You want to scrape the whole thing to ensure that you do not lose any of that crust because when it’s flipped this is what you should be looking for then I Like to Lay the American cheese right on top cover the whole thing up so that the
Cheese will melt after about 30 seconds they’re ready then I’ll Place one burger patty on top of the other and finish it off on the bun and the more you do this the better you will get because the end results are just insane and since everything is now ready the only thing

I make some burgers from time to time using the French onion dip mix. I mix it up with the meat, sauté some onions and smother the burgers with the onions and 1-2 cans of french onion soup serve with a side of mashed potatoes. Use the sauce as a gravy, it's sooo good.

Guga could you make a video where you make a homemade mix of the french onion. We don't have it in our country
So the next level to that is to combine cooked potroast with raw ground beef and minced onions, mushrooms, garlic, tomatoes, green onions, and serrano peppers (or whatever spicy pepper you prefer), season it with alittle goya sazon and mash it together. Roll it into a ball and then smash it on the grill or skillet with american cheese and then serve place on the buns with the special sauce on the buns already and smash and enjoy. Smash burger V3 this right here is the ultimate! For the ones that are willing to go the distance into the land of paradise.

Made these identical burgers. They were ok, didn't change my life. They're very easy to make and that simplicity is what makes them good, but there's a lot better burgers that aren't so simple by comparison.

Bro, I do understand the need for good seasoning to create the best tasting food for ail types, BUT to get the most out of your seasoning, it is imperative that you season at the right time. Smash burgers are very juicy when they are flipped, therefore, when you are going to season the burger do it after you flip them, where the seasoning dissolves with the juices on the top to get the most out of the seasoning. When you put the seasoning on the raw side of the burger then flip them, the seasoning is being cooked past its recommended usage, or chemical status. In this way, you will get the most out of the seasoning. I think this explains why the Ranch seasoning did not perform as well as the onion soup mix. Just a thought from a smash burger lover!
We don't have sachet packets like that in the UK. Yeast…. Marmite. Salt won't be needed if you use that. Dehydrated chives and onion powder is easy. You could make this into a stock, a dressing or make some concentrated flavoured butter that you smear on a burger. This has given me something I can work with and definitely would go well with beef. You could even freeze pucks of flavoured butter and put it inside a stuffed burger.
Use freshly ground onion and mix in your sauce. It will taste even better then the French onion powder.

I'll suggest one alternative to American cheese: Swiss raclette cheese. It's mild but flavourful, and melts perfectly.

I made them exactly as you show down to the chuck and brisket ground beef and the French onion mix (this one says "soup and dip mix"). I let the cheese skirt the burgers a little, then put them on grilled Brioche buns with your sauce, and they were incredible!!!
