\*sigh\* I didn’t get potatoes at the store. Wifes car broke down so she took mine to work so no chance to go buy some. Ive never cooked with them before and dont want them turning into mush. Also, Im making pot roast.

canned potatoes take maybe 15 minutes to heat (pre-cooked). Double check when you open the can (should be on the soft side). I’d say add when there is 15 minutes left so they don’t become mush.
Canned taters are already cooked during the canning process. So all you really need to do is maybe add them at the end to warm them up.
Are they sliced? Or whole? If whole I’d slice them and then toss them in a pan with some oil and give them a good fry. This will make it so they don’t fall apart.
At the very end.
I’ve always put them in at the beginning and no problems or complaints. I use whole ones, not sliced.
