Would it be dangerous to put my new Kamado Joe Classic 1 where my old grill is currently at? I never had problems with my old grill being there, but I’ll be using the KJ much more and am sure I’ll have it hotter than my old crummy grill ever got. I’ve also included a picture of the porch as seen from my back door to show how close it will be to the house as well. I’ve seen people say to never have a grill on a covered porch, I’ve seen people say they’ve been grilling forever on their covered porch with no issue, and I’ve seen people say it depends on how much ventilation there is. As a noob who just upgraded after cutting his teeth on the cheap grill for a year I want to make sure I’m doing things properly and safely!

The rest of my backyard is grass, it’s really only the porch that I’d be able to set the grill on without having to make a whole new platform out in the yard. I’m a renter so would really like to avoid doing that, as I’m not even sure it’s an option. Also apologies for the state my backyard is in, been doing a lot of cleaning and rearranging (with my pictured puppy) to prepare for my grill’s arrival from Lowe’s!
