I found this insert recently and fell in love! Except, i’m not sure how to best utilize it. I imagine doing 2 versions of a singular recipe when someone has an allergy is a great use, but that’s not really applicable to my cooking. I would love ideas for 2 accompanying recipes that both cook in a crock pot (I.e. shrimp (& sauce) & grits). I’m open to anything but I mainly cook cheap&lazy recipes. ([chicken thighs, canned tomatoes, taco seasoning] or Mississippi Pot Roast).

I feel like this was for hot pots, I can’t think if very many other uses myself.

You could do a queso with rotel and ground beef and in the other one do a white queso with green chili

Put some Italian sausage and spaghetti sauce in one half then chicken breast and spaghetti sauce in the other. Make garlic bread and have a parm bar

Slow cooked pork in one, cheese in another lol. Or whatever your heart’s desire. Maybe pick up a crockpot recipe book and just make two recipes instead of one

I’d put main in one side with a side in the other.

Smothered pork chops – mashed potatoes

Scalloped potatoes – green bean casserole

I would love this just to make one side of any recipe spicier

For cooking a turkey dinner, make slow cooker dressing in one side and a yam/parsnip/carrot/ maple syrup thing in the other side.
