At least there’s a lip to it and it’s a decent size
monkeetail
At least the leftover residue from previous customers will add some flavor to it
thewhiskeyrebel
I feel like the cheese to pretzel ratio makes up for any faux pas here
LukeSkyWRx
Don’t smear the mustard and I am ok
vasdefonz
My only concern is if it’s thoroughly cleaned between uses and the wood doesn’t develop mold. As long as it’s clean, I say it’s fine.
ParaponeraBread
Am I insane or is that like 3x the cheese and mustard you’d need to thoroughly coat 100% of the surface area of those pretzels?
IYiffInDogParks
I’m offended on behalf of my bavarian neighbours!
NoBSforGma
Would you like some varnish with that spread?
Also — those two shmears on the right (mustard?) look like two tongues. Like the chef having a big joke.
eatmymustard
Boards/trays are perfectly fine for serving food
Gloomy__Revenue
Nah—I’m cool with this. In fact I’m kinda jealous of your whole setup right there 😅
Is that hummus on the left though? I’ve had it with hard pretzels but never tried it on soft pretzels before.
TheStatMan2
I’m more offended by the twin “smear” to be honest.
Let’s face it – very little that you come to describe as a “smear” is going to be good news.
kimwim43
It’s fine. It’s not soup or lasagna.
ruegretful
Yuk but ….yum!
BugsAreHuman
That is a plate.
FrozenFire944
Looks like a “try hard” attempt to make something super basic look “fancy”. Wonder what they do with a PBJ sandwich?…..deconstruct it and have 2 slices of white bread in the center with a pile of peanut butter and 2 smears of jelly on a board?
Delta8ttt8
I wanna know how much these GFS frozen pretzels were.
Stinkostank42069
The stuff on the right looks like a used pad
CullenClan
No
Unique_Tap_8730
Looks like a pratical surface to eat from. Its almost there. Maybe in a few years some hip resturant will reinvent the lost technology of plates.
kinzer13
Looks great. No crime here. I appreciate the German aggression that this spread evokes.
DarkDayzInHell
Why the smear? I’d rather it in little dippy cuppies.
bankstownboy
It passes
AlterEgoSalad
That looks like they charged you $50
ShadowBlade55
Not the worst I’ve seen. At least it’s not a shoe or decorative carnival food bag.
ServantOfKarma
Why…why did you break the pretzels before you took the photo? You’re torturing us.. 😫
Fair_Lecture_3463
I’d eat the shot out of that.
Newtstradamus
That looks great, this was $5 right?
Right???
OrangeCeylon
From right to left: one of the dogs was sick and I stepped in it; two pretzels; one of the dogs was sick and, thank God, I saw it before stepping in it.
gremlinsbuttcrack
Despise the presentation but I’d eat the fuck out of that
Cooknbikes
I feel like pretzels are generally overrated.
I love breads of all types. I would like to try some pretzel that would change my mind.
I am an avid bread baker at home. I don’t use recipes but any tips to make succulent pretzels and improve/grow my appreciation for them…
