Great question! It's best not to substitute wheat flour for 100% of all purpose flour in the recipe. Using all wheat flour will give you a very dense, heavy and dry crust. Hello. Yellow cake mixes come in different shades of color. Did you not like the taste of the whole dessert or just the cake layer? It is possible that you didn't cook the filling for the bars long enough for them to set up.
