I just got that book and wok! I’ve been cooking Chinese in a cast iron skillet. I made the beef and broccoli last week. Good luck!

That was a big focus of mine last year. I think my wok cooking dramatically improved in 2023.
The two biggest tips I learned:
Get your wok hotter than you think you need it to be. Light whips of smoke are not enough, you need it hotter.
Use less oil than you think you need. Recipes I would use would only call for a tablespoon of oil which I never thought was enough so I would add more. As soon as I cut down the amount of oil I was using everything turned out better.
Also, I have that same wok!

Cooking with the wok was such a game changer in my kitchen. I use mine several times a week now.
I recommend making some golden fried rice. Just mix eggs and the rice together first before you fry it so every grain gets coated. Then add some soy sauce and sesame oil. So easy and delicious!
