Gimbap? It’s just a sesame oil and salt for the rice. You can add anything inside, but my favorite is egg, ham or bulgogi or tuna with mayo or meat of any preference, pickled radish(the yellow thing in the pic), and marinated burdock.

This is called drug kimbap in Korea because of its addictive qualities. The key combo is the dipping sauce that comes with the mini rolls slathered in sesame oil. General combo for the sauce is one spoon of soy sauce, rice vinegar, Korean mustard, water, and half spoon of sugar all mixed. Some places use wasabi because Korean mustard is more difficult to find. The taste is similar but wasabi has more of that sharp kick so if you are using that, use less than a whole spoon.

Kkoma kimbap aka drug kimbap (because they’re so addictive)! They’re actually relatively easy to make. Search mini kimbap on YouTube and you’ll come across many recipes and most of them include the recipe for the mustard dipping sauce 🙂
Most common filling for the mini kimbap: cucumber, danmuji (pickled daikon), eggs, fish cakes Sauce: soy sauce, Korean mustard, splash of rice wine vinegar, bit of sugar

Is the sauce in the kimbap or is it on the side to dip into?
