Blue team oh we want from you a main course and a  deserve hurts but you’re going to be cooking it in relay okay right now decide  which one of you is going to go first you nominated me why did you think  that how go on you can go first I think I

Very [Music] much we’ll be fine I think  they’ve got the hard bit Yeah Reveal Your [Music] ingredients what your main course must  include that fish and the dessert must showcase   the chocolate okay your 25 minutes the foundation  of these great dishes let’s [Music] cook as well  

As Cod and chocolate Richard and Neil can select  from a Luder of ingredients to create their dishes being paired up with Neil good I’m glad I got  him I wish I knew more about vegetables got a  

Clue I think he knows what he’s doing and  what he’s going to cook he’s that type of   man no idea what to do with [Music] this  the ingredients we’ve got for them they’re   classic but I tell you what if you don’t how to  handle them properly it could be [Music] disaster  

Have you filled a fish before I have yeah  that’s fortuitous isn’t it nothing aside   of this hopefully rich is good and can start  something real nice and then I can do it justice after what’s your plan is to get a fillet of  off this fish two portions and what what sort  

Of fish is it it’s a seafish John very good what  sort of fish is it a fish with only three letters   quite well known to be with chips that would be  a Cod then what about the dessert what I might do  

Is put on a pan and just melt some chocolate  actually and do what with it well that might   be the problem for a Mel great okay but you  can’t go wrong with a bit of melted chocolate  

Considering you don’t have an idea of what to  do with it you might be able to go wrong with it I’m not a great dessert fan but  I’m just thinking melted chocolate   gives you so many options within the time

Available I really hope Richard doesn’t  just stick to the main and leaves me with   a dessert cuz we we’re probably going to  lose this this challenge hopefully yeah   it’ be lovely if you could just do the  dessert that’d be great for [Music] me  

I always strive to do my best in anything  that I do if I’m not good enough I can sort   of live with that it’s lack of effort  but is unacceptable in my life yeah he   doesn’t do anything by half I mean he’s got  where he’s got now for being a tough guy a

[Music] he Neil the look on your face when  this fish came out from under that cloth was   extraordinary yeah never seen a fish that big I  had no idea where to start or finish but I’ve cut  

Off a nice little chunk and I think we’ll fry that  going to boil up some of those bit of mushrooms   put it on a bed of Neil with all due respect  you’ve got 15 minutes left you ain’t gon to be  

Able to finish that so no what about dessert you  don’t seem to have come sprinting out the blocks   with that one either no I haven’t I’m I’m not on  the dessert yet Neil have you got any ideas at all  

With desert yeah the poor old Mo no that poor lady  how can you leave her in such a pickle should be   ashamed of yourself she’ll be fine well let’s hope  so you got to come back and pick up the pieces I don’t eat desserts I’m a main  course person so it’s going to

Mar what are you going to do with your bowl  of melted chocolate well I’m there so many   things you can do with mol and chocolate yeah  like what there’s some cake stuff over there   there some so we could just have some lovely  chocolatey cake stuff lovely CH I’m trying  

To give her some options like afternoon tea  down the of course of course yes if you have   an idea then I suggest you leave a clue cuz  presently you got three pots of chocolate on   a bench and a bowl of melted chocolate  Yeah couple shalots over there a bit of  

Cod here come together now do you want a  loaf to go with the fishes that would be Lovely you got five minutes before you swap over [Music] okay the plan for this stuff if we’ve  got some satanas we got some hazelnuts both   very very nicely with chocolate we got a bit of  cake you’re salivating already at the thought of  

The pudding that might just come out of this I  know you [Music] are I don’t want any of [Music] that I’m trying to lay a sort of plan  that Lila can follow the knowledge he’s   had of 71 years will just say I know  where we’re going with that yeah but  

Hang on a minute what is your idea with  the chocolate and the nuts cuz it doesn’t   look obvious to me soft fruit chocolate  nuts it’s a winning combination we’ll see right 60 seconds till your mat’s come  in 60 seconds for the girls take over are  

You nervous I am nervous now to be honest  I don’t think I would be we don’t make a   pig’s ear of it all right swap over off you  go the others are coming in go on off you go here we go how did you get  on how did you get on you must

What could go wrong right oh really oh dear oh dear oh right  then where’s the I enjoyed it but it was   an awful lot to do in no time at all I’ve  tried to sign path where to go with it but  

But you might have better ideas hopefully she  will what do you see what do I see well I see   a bleming big fish gaping at me I see it’s all  prepared there and he’s got the piece there so

Tricky L’s come along and tipped all of it and  I mean everything on that bench into one pan   it’s a bit like the way my granddad used to  do a fry up I hope she’s not cooked the fish  

Yet because it doesn’t need cooking yet we  got 15 minutes when we team up together so   hopefully she hasn’t tried to do too much at  the moment that fish is not frying in that   B it’s steaming so it’s going to have to be  rescued by Neil if she doesn’t sort herself

Out I literally have no idea what he’s trying  to do here right so what are you going to do   with the fish the fish I’m going to put this in  the oven put some onions around it put a tiny  

Bit of olive oil put that in the oven so you’re  going to bake that uhhuh with the onions yes yeah   definitely have never done this before l a piece  of fish T to come 20 so you’ve got 25 minutes and  

Then you got 50 okay you give me a hint there  right I’m going to just put it straight in this   is what happening oh my god oh man I thought  it’d be more obvious than this a mes walked  

In and there on the bench is a lovely field of  cod and that could be finished off at the last   minute but now there still 20 minutes to go the  fish is cooking in a pan the onions aren’t even  

Cooked yet so what’s going to happen with the  rest of the dish I’m not quite sure what is he doing I don’t understand why there’s white  chocolate though this I was thinking about   Plastering it over there honestly don’t I’m  just going to open hopefully it works I had  

A feeling that ael’s probably got a  better Instinct for desserts than I   have so what I did was tried to give her  some stuff to go on so I melted some milk   chocolate melted some white chocolate  found a piece of cake and uh leave the  

Rest of her imagination right I have no  idea to be honest with you all I’ve done   is I’ve put a little bit of chocolate on  top of this and he got you to save the day okay the chocolate is going to be melted  so it goes on the strawberries and US You’  

Imagine with a few nuts and bits and mobs  it seems to me that there is a dilemma and   the Dilemma is what are you and I going  to eat for dessert cuz right now there   ain’t a dessert in sight on either bench  it’s 5 minutes before your mates come in  

And you you push for the final 50  or Rescue It for the final [Music] 50 so with the fish gosh it’s breaking up a little bit yes so I’m going to leave it alone for a  while so the onions the onions cooked um I was  

Going to make them a little bit more more um so I  can get all the juices out of them right um okay [Music] yeah I’ll keep it warm right I’ve  done the fish and the little potatoes this   is still just down low keeping it warm the  strawberries I’ve done with some chocolate  

But I’m now going to put some white chocolate  on I’ve never done this before before anyway   no kidding no never melted chocolate  like a master chocolate here from over there yeah I think the 15 minutes at the end  is going to be very interesting see where we  

Can possibly go in 15 minutes it’s not long by  Nightmare situation we can see a large piece of   card dipped in chocolate rich is going to go mad  when he sees me sees this hopefully there’s enough  

Time to put right what I put so wrong [Music] huh  so cringe okay got Mery Berry outside seriously   desserts are like seriously my weak spot trying  to make it look as normal and as nice as possible  

Hopefully you like I will just go in there  and watch the ladies finish it and take Ser   the finishing just know if you find a littleit  yeah right your partners are coming back in you   work together the final 15 minutes oh Richard  how’s it going right I had no idea this is what  

I’ve done oh that’s delicious put loads of stuff  inside it and there chocolate how you doing babe   all right I’ll just I just added all that in there  that’s that you are ledge absolute ledge she’s an  

Absolute Legend she’s done everything that I would  have done so we are in sync good is that okay so   is the Practical thing for you to do pudding and  glad you think that’s helpful but if you carry on  

With that I’ll car on with it okay and then with  this do you reckon I should cut it it’s quite big   yeah okay cool perfect I can dress it a little bit  nicer I’ve never looked forward to seeing you so  

Much Richard right we don’t have long looking at  the door every two seconds the dishes have become   miracles of confection and Delight that’s what  there that’s what’s happened it’s all very [Music] well so I learn to do this at the restaurant  

But it looks a little bit dodgy I  think I’m not sure about [Music] that do you want it m you need a hand or you go on  you carry on with your bit I’ll carry on with this

I think new and laya’s fish is actually coming  along okay because I think Neil did some excellent   work there however the dessert leaves a lot  to be desired I mean between the pair of them   they’ve sliced some strawberries drizzled two  different types of chocolate across it and now  

They’re going to sprinkle some crushed nuts  I mean it’s hardly going to set the weld on fire final five minutes Finishing Touches jacking with the shells for decoration yeah put it   so it’s like a Seascape 60 seconds left  final 60 seconds get some adira into the Cake that’s it stop you’re done there we  go Eva what do you think it’s not going   to kill anyone is it we’ve done a  uh brond de Maru a Citron that’s   nice we’ve done in Gate de madira Victor  madira so you picked the right person did

You L and Neil what have we got Lea what  have we got you should know you prepared   it you cooked it I know go on um Cod on a  base of spinach peas bit of bacon toasted   oven baked chips and dessert Aela special  strawberries two types chocolate and Crist

Nuts I think the main looks great actually and I   think you both worked on that really  well Neil it was quite clear exactly   what it was that you needed to do and you  did it and you did it pretty well thank

You fish is flaky and soft and you’ve got lemon  juice in Your Spinach which is delightful you   got natural sweetness of clams peas shots really  good flavor well done thank you thank you well   done I like that spinach some people might think  it’s overcooked but I love that cuz it’s really  

Cooked down well it’s strong it’s earthy and it  goes beautifully with the fish I like the ideas   I like them a lot Posh fish and chips all the  effort right from the start went into the main  

Neither of you could come up with a decent plan  for the dessert and it shows doesn’t it yeah this is a kind of aftera what we  going to do let’s piece some it   together and that’s what it that’s what  it tastes like that’s what it was yeah

Yeah today was terrible like Lela was  absolutely terrible um hopefully I’ll never   work with her again no she was fantastic  honestly I’m really happy yeah I’m well placed Richard and Mel what have we got  we have a celebration of white food with  

Our um pan fried cod with white wine  and some white noodles and some white   stuff and dessert that’s uh a madira Tipsy  Cake with a Duo of chocolate hazelnuts and satanas well God a sake you’d be able to sell  ice to ex wouldn’t you sounded madira Tipsy  

Cake yeah what you put booze in it we have  H why are the noodles cuz I I see noodles as   a kind of Asian dish yet the flavors are very  European well I wanted some starch and because  

I didn’t look at the table that had the spuds  on and it would have been very different story   so I just saw noodles and we didn’t have much  time so I thought well we’ll have some noodles   in you just need to look around a little  bit the problem is it’s called blind panic

Mhm considering your fish has been cooked for so  long it’s still lovely moist and I’m surprised   cuz a piece of cod will take about 5 minutes  to cook if it’s not on the bone however cuz   there’s so many herbs and onions inside with  the sweet shalots and the parley it’s a tasty  

Tasty thing and the dill in the background’s  good love the spinach the dill the white wine   flavor that’s going on underneath that fish  I think that’s beautiful uh the noodles are   only there because you didn’t realize we had  potatoes but I think your ideas are always  

Quite solid and and just just work with  them right should we move from there to dessert what’s in the pot you don’t want to  know um lots of little goodies there for you   there’s some nuts and salanas and then um some  white chocolate for you I thought it was a nice  

Idea hazelnuts and white chocolate it it’s so  rich and sweet and sticky you said that every   you can’t go wrong with a bowl of chocolate melted  chocolate I got to say I think we could probably   be a little bit more adventurous than a slice  of cake covered in chocolate yes desserts are  

Not my strong point to be honest you’re both  decent Cooks actually we’ll leave it up to you   too to take whatever lessons from this you choose  but learn from it okay thank you Michelle thank you they were knocked out by yeah they mocked  us it’s never good when someone speaks about

Maybe we going a London Zoo where  we be like thrown in with the Lions [Music] something good morning and welcome to battery power  station undoubtedly one of the most iconic   sites on London Skyline this is the biggest  brickbuilt structure in Europe right now it’s  

One of the biggest regeneration schemes London has  ever seen there are at any one time up to 3,000   builders and contractors on this site today you  are going to make love lunch for 120 of them oh  

Beat your thinking like 20 that’s my anxiety dream  come true you’ll be remaining in the same teams as   you were in the last round and Mel and Richard  and Lea and Neil this is big industrial cooking  

And you’ve only got 3 hours until lunchtime uh  ladies and gentlemen I’d say you better get on   with it by oh my God oh my gosh didn’t expect him  to say 120 I had a mini heart attack on the spot  

There it’s fantastic to be a bed power station  I think we filmed a video here in the 1980s so   it’s good to be back very daunting over 3,000  work force here thank God we’re not cooking for  

All 3,000 but working with Lea I know we’ll smash  it I should imagine that the BLS at work here are   angry I mean you’ve only got to look around  and see what’s going on they’re angry boys [Music] yeah my name’s Andy I’m the head chef  here at battery power station the guys that

Sudden using the kitchen ladder each team must  make 50 portions of a meat or fish dish 20   portions of a vegetarian option and 70 portions  of pudding o red peppers Peppers yeahh potatoes   and brown things what they called again what brown  not brown they’re black it’s a cucumber is it it’s  

A coet okay sorry coet do you know how to do  yeah I do okay it I think I’m leaving you in charge 120 of these people out celebs are cooking  for now my guess is the most they’ve ever done is  

Probably ate at a dinner party or Christmas  Day anybody who’s had a picking shovel out   in this weather is going to eat a lot more than a  standard lunch I think they can do it but they’re  

Going to have to work really hard the teams now  have just 3 hours before lunch service service   here is absolutely Bonkers it’s start to finish  non-stop Onslaught I think the guys are going to   be for an experience very roasted vge y tomato  these will go lovely actually yeah Lea and Neil  

Have decided on steak and kidney casserole for  their Mane and apple pie for pudding but they’ve   yet to fully work out their vegetarian course  tell me about vegetarian corett oine it’s going   to be like a sauce but chunky but spicy or I  will add a bit of spice but that’s the secret  

Ingredients maybe Curry oh vegetable curry yeah  would that be nice wouldn’t it yeah that lovely   curry sauce you did with your salmon absolutely  so tell me about stain kidney just like a stew   yeah dumplings no I ain’t got no dumplings okay  I can’t do 120 dumplings we ain’t got time now  

Haven’t you no God she’s a forced to be R she let  her think she’s the boss that’s all you got to do Richard and AEL are also doing  a curry with chicken and spinach   their vegetarian dish is pasta with Mediterranean

Vegetables what about dessert what we doing for  dessert we’re going to do some classic English   baked apples don’t look like that no the only  reason I do that that is cuz the guys are doing   apples over here as well well baked apples  would be really nice you see what are they  

Doing with their apples apple pie oh we’re not  doing that okay I think we might have to think   I’m not too sure we can do two apple desserts  so we can change yeah Flash no seriously we can  

Change we’ll do it but what will you change  to Neil um we’ll do um panc pancakes with   strawberries you can do the apples that’s very  decent you no problem fantastic you that’s what better be good might make a little strawberry cool uh  the strawberries the pancakes bit of [ __ ]  

And some fresh cream so who doesn’t like  that all these men are hardw working they   think they’re at the rits they’ll love it  they’ll love it they want it and then they   want it every day you watch they can have  it every day I just won’t be here to cook it

Got some apples here oh lovely about a thousand you know what bramy does when it’s  baked it’s go soft yes delicious it’s sharp   oh yeah we’re going to have lots of sugar lots of  sugar load custards I was thinking of a custard  

We got some nice cold cream you’re being lazy  here Richard not lazy at all I’m scared of doing   custard quantities that I’ve not done what about  if I give you a recipe for it that’ be brilliant  

I’ll give you a recipe for custard you do custard  you promise me promise I’ll give you a recipe got 60 chicken legs um outelt I think  we just get them in and get them on get  

It straight up yeah such a big knife for  such a small Job 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 [Music] 12 Leila has got her steak onto Brown  and is now prepping the beef kidneys like  

Kidneys usually I use Lambs uh kidneys you know  when you’ve got a lot of men to look after this   is the best I suppose best one to use now we  can get cracking I [Music] think yeah that’s  

It give it a good stir that’s it look at that  beautiful beautiful once I got a few herbs in there this I’ve never cook for more than six or  seven people so this is totally out of my comfort  

Zone but one virtue I did do a level maths I’m  past it so hopefully we’ve got the calculations right no is this going to be enough to serve all  the guys that we’ve got coming in I’m going to  

Consult Lea do we think we’ve got enough  meat in here to serve the guys we’ve got   coming in um what we put more in then  it’s just the last thing I want is to   have hungry [Music] guys okay guys we’ve  got less than 90 minutes now yes chef yes

Chef little concerned about the state in kidneys  I know that Laya and nil are working really hard   to get it done and I do think it’s going  to taste really nice but they need to get   it cooking down otherwise me’s going to be tough  as old [Music] boats Richard is making a yogurt  

Writer to accompany their chicken curry while  AEL is busy prepping the Mediterranean vegetables   for their pasta dish you know like chips in a  casino like there you go mate up at 20 [Music] n the biggest spect pot I’ve ever  created in my life if you see the  

Size of this thing I I’ve never cooked  for this many people ever scared the   hell out of me earlier um I thinking how  is that even possible but somehow it just   I don’t know it’s all right it’s not so  bad I’m going to add a tiny bit of lemon  

And lime as well just a good everything  all the helping we can give it to make it delicious with the writer finished Richard’s   next task is to make a curry  sauce using ginger garlic and cumin we are calmly and confidently approaching  a culinary Miracle I’m kind of managed chaos at  

The moment and I don’t really want chaos  to get the better of it so time is always   running out and I haven’t even got on to  those baked apples yet but we just need   to do this Richard we need to get some sauce  on these chickens um we can’t be serving that  

As it is we’ve got less than 90 minutes  minutes to go let’s rally and get it done yeah couldn’t imagine cooking this  much food every single [Music] day um I literally just dropped this in someone else’s  food so I hope they don’t think I was trying to  

Sabotage them but um yeah I’ve just taken them out  fished them out no one no one has to know [Music]   so we’ve got like I think an hour now we’ll soon  see what can what will be we’ll be now out of my

Way Leila has finally browned off  the extra beef and kidneys for her   casserole but she’s behind getting it into  the oven to braze well I’ve never had to do   something like this where I’ve got to stand  on tiptoe and look into it cuz I’m too short

Heart when finished the huge 42 Acre Site  will house nearly 4,000 homes shops and restaurants this is a mammoth task John  isn’t it I mean if you were working down   a you would be cold and you would be  really really really hungry and you’d  

Want something pretty decent for your  lunch Master Chef are in town they know   it their expectations going to go up  I tell you what these CBS are got to deliver with 45 minutes till service  whipping up uh cream that’s going to be  

Flavored with vanilla and I’m mixing up well  I’ve got to open it pancake mix 470 pancakes what are you concerned about here because you   realize 120 hungry Builders are going  to walk through that door yeah soon I   just said to Chef they better eat it  or they wear it I’ve cooked it eat

It oh look at that little face oh you’re T I  thought Neil back was tough he’s nothing on   you absolutely you’re ferocious good I’m  going to tell them to keep their OD hats [Music] on new and Laya are actually doing  quite well their steak and their kidney and  

Their mashed potato is on the vegetable curry  is ready to go what I’m very nervous of is 70   individual [Music] pancakes with 40 minutes  to go Richard has finished making the curry   sauce but AEL is still working on the  vegetarian pasta dish I’m panicking now

Their apples can go into the oven they  need to be CED and filled with sugar and sultanas these are Big Apples I don’t  know how we’re going to get through   70 of these right I’m going to go super speed

What have you got as a team We’ve Got Talent we’ve  got Vision we’ve got skills what have you really   got we’ve got a problem we’ve got a problem what’s  the problem the problem is that our dessert is not  

Going to be anywhere near ready and we’re stuffed  have you baked a Bramley Apple before many times   have you yeah and they take a bit longer than  we’ve got a lot longer than we’ve got and you  

Serving it with what love custard oh custard for  the card it’s delicious with Cold Cream yes you’re   not doing custard you’re running out how we got  about 35 minutes we could do custom we [Music] could on the red team Neil is  finishing the 50 portions of  

Mash to go with lela’s steak and  kidney casserole well it looks all   right it really could be thickened a lot  better and their vegetable curry is nearly done p is the rice your rice is  burning me now right let’s get that off

Ni that is burn right I don’t cook rice I’m I’m  a boil in the bag person if we can get it on now   you may just have time to get it done so let’s  let’s crack a leg let’s get this cleaned out  

And let’s get another load on yeah that’s it’s  Neil’s idea rice now we burnt it so if we’re   doing another lot and if it goes all right well  do sh up if not they’ll have to have potatoes or

Mash I’m very concerned L and Neil have  just burnt their rice so we are around   just under the half an hour mark and got  no rice to go with their vegetable dish   rich in a mill we’ve got the apples sat on  the side not even ready to go in yet I’m  

Very concerned now that we’re not going  to have anything to serve to these guys   that are coming in right now 120 Builders are  about to walk into to a dessert of raw cooking   Apple from The Blue Team I tell you what  that is a little bit like Panic stations

There okay guys how are we getting on we’re  just about to get the apples yeah we got them   on them do you need me to I’m going to have  to bring somebody in otherwise I’m going to   have 120 guys coming in with nothing to serve  okay King I want these salted salanas little  

Bit of butter straight in the oven let’s get 70  portions let’s get them in the oven yeah there’s   a tray down there puddings in my water L we’re  not great with puddings are we no puddings are  

Not very good feel so much better more app rescue  has come we haven’t got time to cut the cords out   as you can see they might be undercooked slightly  they need at least 35 minutes in the oven and we  

Haven’t really got that we’ve both learned lesson  again that we definitely should have started with   a dessert they take so much longer than you think  so yeah a lesson learn but towards the end of what   I should have already learned my lesson [Music]  really the desserts in the last round from both  

Teams was pretty atrocious I mean today they’re  going to have to sort it out otherwise they are   going to have a rebellion the rebellion of bity  power station I don’t want to be responsible   for that one [Music] guys we have got 20 minutes  until service I need you to pull out order stops  

We cannot serve these guys nothing yes chef yes  [Music] chef we got about 20 minutes to go and   Neil and Lea are just about to climb a pancake  Mountain I don’t know who idea this was this  

Pancakes I got a feeling it’s news and I think  it’s a little adventurous at this stage think I   might start a waffle business my arms dropping  off but look it’s coming it’s going it’s going it’s Richard yes oh yeah that’s a nice  bit of pouring cream there gra wasn’t  

That supposed to be custard it was custard  we felt custard was uh we didn’t have time   so nice cold single with baked apple love it  is the Apple baked it’s baking yeah I don’t   think we’re going to win a mellin star for  this dessert I’m [Music] afraid it is quite  

A hardw working day today it’s definitely  I’m so excited to go in there and try the   food today I’m hungry I’m very hungry really  hungry my stomach is in my hand actually hungry yeah guys we’ve got five minutes I’ve got people   queuing up outside we’ve got  five minutes let’s [Music] go

We’re not shy the customer can I  get the steak would you like rice   no thanks can I get the mash you can  have mashed by all means you killed it the red team have served steak and kidney  Castle r with the choice of mashed potatoes or

Rice and is absolutely brilliant fantastic thought  it was cooked well potatoes was nice wasn’t any   lumps in it on a cold day like today a meal like  that it’s fantastic brilliant I haven’t had kidney  

Since I was a kid and I didn’t think I would  like it but I actually really really liked it   it’s lovely really good nice uh gravy very very  tasteful very filling nice portions very nice Lea got the crowd absolutely right didn’t she  the sauce is good I think the sauce is great  

The beef could have cooked a bit longer my only  complaint on that is that the mashed potato lacks   any seasoning at all but it’s soft and it’s  light and that’s a rich gravy that actually   tastes of kidney listen this played into lela’s  hands didn’t it I like it a [Music] lot Lea and  

Neil’s second main course is vegetable curry  with rice it’s hot the veggie that’s good thank   you thank you thank very [Music] much I went  for vegetarian Curry was the perfect spicy level I don’t know what was going on there listen  neither Lea or Neil back are veget Arian and this  

Shows there’s a sweetness to it there’s a heat of  chili about it but it’s a mush of Mediterranean   FEG I mean I don’t even know what it’s supposed to  [Music] be have you had a busy morning just been  

Waiting for this it’s about to get so much better  thank you very much on the blue team Richard’s   working hard to keep up with demand love you thank  you very much Happy satday check [Music] there you   go hello thank you we go their meat course  is chicken and spinach curry with rice and

Writer I’ve gone for a chicken  sag it’s actually quite nice   not as good as I can do but it’ll do  it was very succulent very moist you   had some coriander which is what  I like yeah lovely it was lovely

I was enjoying it tucked into my mint  yogurt and I found this which I can only   suggest is probably the lid of the yogurt  I am a little bit unimpressed yes if this   was in a restaurant I’ll send it back  and I certainly wouldn’t be paying for

It can I speak to the chef please  yes of course I found a yogurt   pot Le in my mid yogurt I’ll give you  another one you make this one a large   portion yeah yeah of course I’m sorry  about that thank you Chef he called me Chef flavors and the chicken are good bit  of Ginger lots of lots of onions bit of   spinach nice bit of rice on the side  the rice is cooked well you know bit   of sauce bit of cream bit of butter  make it wet put something that would  

Coat all that Rice you know curry sauce  curry sauce curry sauce carry [Music] sauce There we go thank you after a slow start orders are picking up for  a Mel’s Mediterranean vegetable pasta there we go   thank you very much do you want one past  yes pleas thank you is it hot spicy this  

One is the whole thing isn’t spicy except the  chili sweet thank you very much thank [Music] you I find it delicious to be honest  I’m really very very hungry but I find   it delicious I think I should have  tried the chicken instead yeah to  

Be honest yeah should have gone for the  chicken but hey I made my bed so shall I lie well it’s it’s Ratatouille without any tomato  sauce that’s the thing and there’s no Spice in it   and you can’t taste any herbs which a little shame  actually cuz it could be really really good but  

It just needed a bit of love and care instead  it was just lots of vegetables cook together   this could have been so much better if we’d have  just chopped the vegetables up and served it in bowls well done guys that’s Main’s done let’s get  

All this lock cleared away and let’s  get set up for desserts yeah [Music] Richard yeah this is interesting  isn’t it the phone well it’s sort   of become the sort of Apple catastrophe  but apples have always been complicated   in the Christian story John capit casted  and serve it yeah that’s exactly some Qui

[Music] sweet I actually love the strawberry  [ __ ] on it yeah it’s really nice perfect   not too sweet and not too sour I went for the  strawberry and cream and pancakes very nice   very nice lovely very nice and light the  cream was nice yeah it was a was a lovely  

Pudding yeah I could eat a lot more of it  I think it’s very nice I was surprised that   Neil took on the task of all the pancakes and  actually to watch him work he got on with it  

Got stuck into it lots of cream people liked  it this pancake tastes great it’s got really   soft syrupy fruity strawberries a pancake and  cream I mean it’s obviously what people want   to eat it’s what I want to [Music] eat how  did you find lunch beautiful lovely flavor  

I’m very happy to hear that Richard and ael’s  pudding is baked apples and sultanas served with custard thanks very yeah we this thank you I’m not much of a sweet person but I’m a big  fan of custa so I went for that one this time it  

Was very nice very sweet yeah it was really  nice if I’m Hest to sour I couldn’t really   eat it all custard was nice if anything apart  from that like I said to sour that’s itting   what we get so he lovely so hopefully  they put on the canteen Monday that’ be

Fantastic I tell you what how they got this  apple out I have no idea no this Apple started   to cook as the mains began to be served you  know they sprinkled sugar on that at the end   which was Absol absolutely the right thing to  do and they’ve actually snatched Victory there  

Out the jaws of defeat yeah it’s shame that they  haven’t take the core out that’s a real mistake   however it tastes pretty good service is finally  over you were way you look so professional today   that’s all right don’t worry about me I’ll just  clear up shall I yeah come on pull your fingers

Numbers is a challenge for anybody overall  I think they did it really really well and   I’d have all of back to thr it all again oh my  gosh that’s all I can say I’m really flustered   as you can probably tell shining like a disco  ball time just dripped away like water out of  

A basket literally it was just dribbling away  was a harrowing experience which I think I’ll   have to take to therapy for the next 15 years  probably but it was fun at the end it ended well  

Alls well it own well I found today quite hard  going to be honest I’d certain to stick to what   I’d do this is hard graft lots of pressure but  I enjoyed it at the end of the day we delivered  

So I’m massively um impressed with the effort  of Leila along himself that we’re able to do that both teams got through this task next  round they’re not in teams it’s up to them   as individuals one last chance  to try and grab that semi-final Place after 2 days of competition these four  celebrities now face one final challenge to   decide who stays two of them will be going  home I’m treating it like a big match and   being a master chef and the next challeng  challenge it’s the next game but there are  

A bit of those pre-match nerves is a little  bit frightening now I just can’t believe I’m   still here I do hope to get to the semi-finals  and if if I got through today I’d be so happy  

I really would the more you do the more you  get into it and I’m at the stage now where   I’m literally waking up in the middle of the  night why do I going SE bass SE Bass [Music]

Home 1 hour and 15 minutes two courses four  plates of each course ladies and Gentlemen let’s   [Music] cook today is about these four cooking  as individuals and really stepping up you can’t   be too safe but you can’t be too dangerous it’s  got to be a crowd pleaser and it’s got to be on

Time don’t do you know with trimmings and gooly  woolies all over the plate and stuff if it looks   all right and tastes all right I’m [Music] happy  Lea what are your two courses uh liver and bacon   with glazed carrots and mustard mesh and then  I’m doing apple crumble with cinnamon and brown  

Sugar you making custard no and cream I can’t  make custard I’ve never tried and don’t want   to when I can get it out of a packet that’s not  the Master Chef way is it no but I’m not at the  

Master Chef thing yet I’m just a beginner I’m a  novice what about feeding people that have been   Master Chef Champions if it goes all right and  it’s all cooked and it turns out nice and they  

Like it I’ve done a good thing [Music] today  Lea has cooked an exactly the way I hope she   would traditional good home cooking as long as  of course she gets it absolutely right the liver   needs to be crispy on the outside and a little  tiny River of pink through it the Bacon needs  

To be crispy the gravy needs to be lovely and  flavorsome The Mask needs to be free of lumps   and Rich with lots of mustard so slightly firing  [Music] I feel bit pressured already now to be  

Honest yeah it’s definitely coming again I just  got a fry and focus block that out and just hope   that mine’s good [Music] enough uhel uh tell us  what you going to cook for us um I’m cooking us  

A Hal Thai green chicken curry for dessert I’m  doing a mango sbet esque dessert with merang   little p pieces in there as well so it should be  should complement the the curry anyway how hot  

Do you like your Curry see I like mine really  hot but I not going to risk that with you guys   go go hot you like it you like okay cool yeah  yeah we like everything hot me and him see he’s

Hot I love a TI green curry I think  it’s a great great thing these days   with convenience there’s TI green curry  pce on the shelves that’s fine however   she can’t just rely upon packets to  make a way through to a semi-final  

It’s got to be Flavor Flavor Flavor from  AEL because it’s quite a simple couple of [Music] dishes I’ve practiced  my dish and I’m within seconds   it’s time critical I’ve got to be right on it what are you making for us pan fried  Seabass with a pine nut and Olive vegetable  

Sauce with rosemary saut potatoes and your  dessert strawberry shortbread with a vanilla   cream and a little strawberry koola you’ve  got three guests in the dining room today   yeah and one of those men Phil vicory you know  very very well indeed I do do you think that  

After you guys playing together was eight  years you played together yeah about eight   years yeah yeah that is going to have uh  empathy no he knows a good plate when he   sees it so I’m looking to impress him  obviously the other two judges and and

Yourselves in my opinion Neil has got quite  an exciting menu I love the idea of a sea   bass with those flavors that you’ve got  it’s almost like provar my concern for   Neil with the strawberry shortbread  is that he’s doing three layers and  

Not just two and it’s going to be this  topping Tower full of strawberries and shortbread my M has become huge actually  I dream about it I plot about it in my   mind I’m already running scenarios for a  future on Master Chef so I just hope it

Happens your two courses are going to  woo the crowd I hope so what are they   we’re going to have some pan fried sea bass  with some Circ puree and then with some green   beans and Panetta and then we’re going to  have a chocolate and hazelnut brownie with  

A crem shant tea have you given some  mind to presentation well I have but   I’m conscious that I am not the rembrand  of the plate putting it mildly I’m more   like the Jackson poock but I’ll try not to be  serving you a plate of pollock today very good

Indeed Richard’s main course doesn’t  sound very complicated the secret will   be the flavor of that celery AC and  how much texture it’s got a chocolate   brownie you want a perfect texture not  too wet not too dry almost spongelike you’re halfway 30 minutes gone 30  minutes left on your main course [Music]

Okay it’s lovely to be back actually and  it’s nice to be back and not feeling nervous   I specifically remember for me this was a  a turning point in the competition to this   day I always say a scotch egg saved me which  it really did it was ridiculous it got some  

Incredible comments I don’t think he could  have made this any better no I agree it was [Music] good I think the hardest thing for me  the pressures of timing and delivering there is   no second chance it’s not a wait a minute  it it’ll be okay that’s what I struggled

[Music] with whenever I go anywhere any  kind of restaurant I Just Want To Have   Some really tasty to eat I’m not too  fussed about beans sort of resting in   towers and you know that architecture I want  something to taste really nice what have we

Got Leela’s main that’s a winner for me  I love liver and bacon yes can I make a   confession I’ve never eaten liver before  you never get it at school never got it   at school no turkey burger chips and  beans what’s the best way of that being  

Cooked would you say what what lightly okay  otherwise it turns into a bit of shoe leather right oh I fancy a bit of that liver I’m  really do nice you going to pipe the mash   on yes I am you are getting Posh that’s more  West Enders than East Enders is it that piped

Mesh M right off we go okay done go get Them sorry if it’s cold you know what it’s like   thank you got liver and bacon we  glazed carrots and mustard mesh enjoy it looks like an empty plate  if I’d ordered Mash in a restaurant   I’d want a bit more than that oh dear  and it’s very very overcooked isn’t

It is that what liver is meant to taste  like sadly this is why a lot of people   don’t like liver the best bit of food on  the plate is the bacon m delicious this   is beautiful the mash is under seasoned  and doesn’t really taste of anything if  

That’s what liver tastes like I’ll not be  having it again but the bacon is tremendous yeah unfortunately the dish is really dry  because the liver is overcooked needs more   sauce more mash and the liver needs to be cooked  just a little bit less well I made them laugh  

If nothing else good I don’t know what you’re  running for you got you got 15 minutes on your   dessert I know you cramble in the oven and you  got to pour some cream in some jugs yes I can do

That Apple crumbling cream that’s got me every  day of the week it does seem quite simple so it   is going to have to blow my mind I think for it  to be worthy and how does a crumble blow anyone’s [Music] mind

I got to say this is actually the cleanest  bench I’ve ever seen after anybody has cooked   ever seriously yeah well I’m always like that  I am a clean and tidy person indoors I’m always   doing me surfaces they go m’am why’ you keep  doing that I said cuz you keep dropping things  

On it can I dish this up now by all means okay  I’ll love a crumble me well I’ve never done one   before so I’m hoping this is all right you’re  kidding no I’m not was it cuz during the war  

They run out of apples and sugar why are you  asking me I was just born say what you have to   put up with on this [Laughter] Mastermind  off you go with your Grumble thanks Lea   don’t mess me about all right that end one’s  yours cuz it’s a bit burnt on the edges all

Right here we go seconds up [Music] apple crumble and cream plain and  simple hope you like it thank you thank you   well I’m not sure things have gone well for  her that looks a bit burnt doesn’t [Music]

It it reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking  sugar and fruit and fat and it’s kind of very   welcoming in in a kind of homely way I do  like the chewiness of the crumble I think   that’s really nice but I mean the apples have  just disappeared as well there’s no texture  

In the apples at all I think she’s got a  very nice combination of sweet and sharp   there I really like it it’s sort of cross  between an apple strudel and a toasted hot   cross [Music] bun it’s a big thing off your  shoulders definitely feel better now yeah it’s

Done getting nervous yeah I got a bit of  Rush of nerves oh my God why don’t know   it’s like I hope I hope you like it AEL so  she’s doing a how I’ll thae green curry with  

Rice I have to hold my hand up and say  I don’t really like Curry I’ve been on   the road too much and I’ve eaten too many  curries so it’s going to have to be really   good getting all those layers of flavoring  right and also I want the curry to pack a

Punch well done job well done that  looks good thank you right woo off you go oh [Music] gosh hello hello there we go okay so I’ve made  a Hal chicken Ty green curry with   some Jasmine coconut sticky rice  um I put a little bit of cashew  

Nuts on the side so I thought you can  choose yourself brilliant thank thank Youk I think it looks very classy  doesn’t it very appetizing in the   way it’s presented the the Aromas are quite uh beautiful it that’s right in the back of the  throat that’s hot that’s that’s  

A spicy mouthful do you know what I  think that’s pretty good there’s a TIG   green curry I’d happily eat that  I’d happily pay for it it’s very moish M oh I say that’s spicy the  chicken bit dried bit overcooked   the rice with coconut it’s a little  bit stodgy sauce is good sauce is  

Very good yeah 15 minutes and your  desserts go yeah yeah perfect well done kind of got me a little bit fled there  andel’s dessert is mango and cardamon syllabub   it sounds delicious actually after  you’ve had a curry for a dessert you  

Want something that refreshes your mouth and  straight away mango hopefully that’ll do it I’ve made a massive mistake huge basically   I mixed it all together it was  supposed to be mango then that [Music] mixture this is going to be the sweetest   thing known to man you’re  ready to gol yeah thank you

Thanks hi yeah hi thank you so it was supposed to be a  mango syob but I’ve kind of mixed them   together so now you’ve got a milkshake  so I hope you like it thank you thank you but it looks great and it might be  that she’s just really good at rescuing things

The fragrance from the cardamon and  the lime zest is really nice it’s a   little bit bitty it’s a shame it’s not  a bit smoother I love the flavors of   it but for me it’s too sweet it tastes  like a mango and lime custard it’s very [Laughter] drinkable it’s mango flavored cream I  

Mean that’s what it [Music] is yeah I’m  proud of what I’ve done today um apart   from the dessert it was a sh sinking  ship but she sunk looking good you know right what’s left to do Neil just  cook the fish and then dress the plate  

Ready to serve up that’s what pan fried  Seabass with olive and pine nuts with a   veggie sauce veggie sauce is very  non-committal so I hope there’s a   little bit of a punch there I worry that  there’s not going to be much on the plate  

You hungry [Music] massively nice looking  piece of fish oh careful don’t break it up 2 minutes over extra time no 2  minutes over looking good Neil   nice and shiny there you go right great  let’s go let’s go let’s go let’s [Music] go good day

Gentlemen you’ve got a pan fried  sea bass with a pine nut and green   olive vegetable B sauce on sauted  rosemary potatoes enjoy it guys cheers it’s better than I thought it  might look to be honest and there’s   some potatoes which is nice no smells good as

Well I quite like it I like that whole  Mediterranean thing with fish I think   it’s really really nice I think the Ratatouille  nice acidity coming from the cherry tomatoes   and the real winner for me is just the  celery that lovely bit of crunch and  

Texture against the the fish which is cook  well I think it’s rather tasty that’s my verdict you seasoned the potatoes really  well I love the fish crispy skin and soft   fish that’s great and on top of that  we’ve got vegetables which are really  

Really sour from loads of vinegar and  the oines aren’t even cooked they’re hard 15 minutes till your shortbread and  strawberries what now 15 15 strawberry vanilla   shortbread it all goes together very simple  uh but knowing Neil he’s a very simple fellow so

You seem we have a love affair  with strawberries new I love them done good [Music] job hope you enjoyed that fellas I did strawberry vanilla shortbread thank  you very much thanks very much cheers enjoy that looks rather Delicious from where  I’m sitting the shortbread looks really  

Nice my only worry with it is there’s not  much cream there to counterbalance the   shortbread so if that’s not a melt in the  mouth shortbread it might get clag mouth City I think it’s not sweet enough I actually  quite like the dessert I do think it’s lacking  

A little bit of sweetness I agree with Aid I’m  not that fussed about the dessert but I’ll let   that go cuz I think he’s he’s got heart and I  like that it’s got a nice toasty oy crunch to   that Biscuit the cream isn’t over sweetened  it’s quite refreshing with strawberry I want  

More Coy I want more strawberries I want  more cream if I’m going to have that much biscuit I’m happy that it’s done and I got   the plates out that was the  quickest hour 15 minutes of life Richard’s pan fried Seas with sarc puree  green beans and Panetta which sounds rather  

Nice when you get that salty Panetta with a  nice bit of well cooked fish I think that’s nice very pretty for me it’s good what’s  that a butter sauce uh butter and lemon   tell you what mate that is that’s a step in  the right direction it’s the prettiest dish  

I have ever made really yeah well done off you  [Music] go hello hi hello good afternoon thank   you very much there you go pan fried sea  bass with a salc puree and then a bundle  

Of green beans in a girdle of Panetta a girdle  I just made that up what what do we have here   uh you have a little puddle of lemony buttery  niceness lemony buttery ni yeah enjoy thank you that salc is really smooth and  the fish is cooked well the beans  

Look a bit sorry for themselves but they  they’re cooked well but it is just a bit   it’s like that’s it it’s all nicely cooked  but it’s not blowing me away it’s nice but   just could have been that bit better for me  the lemon sauce is the best thing there what  

I really like is when that lemon in the  butter and the celery that come together   to make a really lovely sharp creamy puree  it’s very very good cooking it’s very well done all right 15 minutes till the brown  brownie it’s going to H good lad well done

Rich’s dessert is definitely my favorite thing on  the menu here’s a lot in chocolate you know it’s a   awesome combination but if you overcook a brownie  it’s just a crumbly mess and not very nice to [Music] eat you happy um not entirely well  yeah let’s [Music] go gentlemen thank you  

Very much you have a deconstructed  brownie with a crem chant tea how   is it deconstructed it looks like a very  careful uh use of the temperature in the   oven to ensure that you get a lovely  molten you mean undercooked no no  

Not undercooked at all that would be quite  wrong it’s it’s given an opportunity to to deconstruct have a bon te thank  you I’m looking forward to that   cuz I love soggy it’s good it’s delicious it looks lovely the whole hazut are amazing aren’t  they inside a kind of really rich chocolatey  

Kind of cream it’s a Triumph I love a  browny to be soft and kind of slightly   undercooked like that I I perhaps would  have liked mine cooked a little bit more   but saying that I’d sooner have it that way  than overcooked it’s a bit salty and and that  

Whole salty sweet thing which is amazing I  think that by far is the best dessert I’ve e today I like the orange across the vanilla Rich  cream with that rich dark chocolate and the bits   around the the outside of that brownie great  cuz they’re cooked the inside is not cooked

[Music] properly I’ve really enjoyed it  yeah it was great to be in the kitchen   and kind of know what I was doing  I kind of cooked through the chaos   and that was okay and I and  I think I I think it went all

[Music] right I think this is really really close  and hard to call there were bits of the cooking   from all four of them that I admired Lea’s stuck  to a guns and she’s an oldfashioned cook I really   admire her courage and convictions unfortunately  the liver was overcooked the crumble I thought was  

Very very good indeed as Concepts go a Mel’s menu  sound great the source of the curry was really   lovely that dessert wasn’t difficult to start off  with and that went wrong we ended up with a drink  

Neil’s main course his fish was cooked really  well Neil’s dessert I like the flavor of I like   the short bread with the strawberri and the cream  however I think it could have been a little more refined I think Richard’s fish was cooked  really really well with a mixture of lemon  

Juice and butter was really lovely beans  and bacon great combination Richard’s   brownie good idea it was a little soggy  in the middle but the guests enjoyed it giving it my best shot actually I think  I did as good a job as I can and they’ll  

Have to judge me on that the competition is  very strong so if they’ve excelled then they   could nudge me out it would be nice to  get to the semis I’d like that I’d feel   very proud of myself you can either do your  best or nothing at all so I’ve done my best  

Who knows it’s just you know I’ve got  a fairly good idea who is equipped for   the later stages of Master Chef and who  isn’t and I think we agree upon who they Are thanks all four of you it has been really   fun you have worked really hard  but we only have two semi-final places not an easy one this to judge not at all our first semi-finalist is Richard congratulations  thank you very [Music] much our second semi-finalist is Neil

Great experience above all what was it they  say you can’t make an old dog do new tricks   or something like that you know I’m I’m too  old to do all that stuff but I’ve enjoyed   it I can’t be doing fancy I’ll stick with  what I know semi finalist very very well  

Done gentlemen I am stoked I’m really  am genuinely stoked that I’m through to   the semi-final but semi-finals mean nothing  um it’s about get to the the final winning   thankfully I’m through to live another  day my mom when I told her I was doing  

The show I not meant to but I wouldn’t dare  keep a secret from her she said with her um   customary uh good cheer you’ll be out in the  first round so um so I’m delighted to be in the

[Music] semi-final next time five new celebrities  take on the challenge I’ve got tell you blank I   say adventurous Greg and John will probably say  [Music] mad it’s kind of really intense I need a holiday I got to say I think that’s outstanding
