Hello hello and welcome back to the Vlog today’s Vlog we are starting at uh Trader Joe’s um and the parking lot today is an absolute blood bath it’s Sunday afternoon I usually try and get this done earlier in the morning but it’s like 3:30 I just we were busy doing
Nursery stuff all morning so anyway I just got a spot right up front I feel blessed but I did have to circle the parking lot like six times to get this spot let me go get my stuff and let’s get sh shopping I have a whole list um
And the Vlog I think that this is going to turn into is just like how I Implement my list into like an actual week’s worth of meals for two people so that’s going to be the vibe of this Vlog I believe but let me go get some
Shopping bags and let’s in a mask and let me go uh get some shopping in I’m going to have to pee soon I don’t even know if they have a bathroom they must God damn it was busy in there holy crap I mean I love Trader Joe’s but
Sometimes I’m like at what cost well actually I’ll tell you at what cost um $10.56 not bad uh if you guys have watched my videos before you know I try and keep our grocery budget under $150 a week so I more than did that we’re actually doing really well on our
Groceries this month in general Trader Joe’s is so good that’s why I go to Trader Joe’s it’s better than Ralph’s or Vons which for the longest time I didn’t believe but it really is it’s like way cheaper even with my Ralph card cuz there is a Ralph right by my house but
It’s cheaper to come to Trader Joe’s you just have to put up with the insane crowds so anyway let’s go home and go through this and then I will put it away all right we’re back home and listen I’m just too pregnant to like lay all the
Groceries out the way I normally do when I do a grocery haul so we’re just going to go through this one by one and then I’ll put everything away I think the only thing I have to prep today is my oatmeals let me just look at my list
Real quick before I say that too confidently yeah so not too much prep because you know I work from home so I have lots of time to cook dinner okay this wasn’t on the list all right let’s let’s just call it out let’s just try them now live here on camera they’re
Called Maple pancake flavored Puffs I don’t really usually like their Puffs at Trader Joe’s but Maple pancake was just too enticing of a flavor to not try oh my God they smell like pancakes you doing a taste test right now mhm not crazy about it you know I like
Them okay you had to think about it they’re weird because they’re like the texture of Cheeto puffs but they’re really sweet your your mouth is expecting one flavor but getting another yeah but they do taste like Maple pancakes I was impregnant and I was getting stoned holy all right I got
Eggs we ran out of eggs this morning I got salmon burgers we’re going to have salmon burgers for uh dinner one night sundried Tomatoes I don’t remember why I got sundried Tomatoes oh yeah I’m going to make a fata with the eggs that’s right and I got white beans or Great
Northern beans whatever you call them that’s for a tusin soup I’m going to make moochi because my beautiful husband loves Mochi and uh he requested strawberry this week then I got glutenfree bagels we’re going to use these as two things we’re going to use them as the buns for the salmon burgers
And we’re also going to use them for pizza Bagels later this week red potatoes these are going to go in the soup oatmeal or oatmeal orange juice because I’ve been craving juice in the morning and I haven’t had any and so might as well buy some uh we were out of
Olive oil and you know what’s crazy is that like olive oil is it’s like it’s like $10 it’s like over $10 today and our groceries were still way under budget that’s why you got to love Trader Joe’s um I got butter cuz we ran out butter last week Greek yogurt that’s for
The oatmeal goat cheese that’s for the fata and avocados these are for the salmon burger and that’s that bag one more bag I got lettuce mix this is for the um salmon burgers and it’s also for the soup I got oh I got these for you babe uh Apple cereal bars Mario likes
The like neutr grain Apple bars for breakfast but obviously they don’t have like other branded things that Trader Jo so um he just ran out because I bought them in like bulk and he needed more so we’re going to see if he likes these okay vanilla almond milk this is for my
Oatmeal mozzarella cheese this is for the pizza bagel raspberries for my oatmeal heavy cream this is I’m making a risotto tonight and then also for the soup and then I got pineapple salsa I thought this could go kind of fun on the salmon burgers I don’t I don’t know
About that but we’re going to try it pizza sauce for pizza Bagels of course chicken broth for the risotto chicken ther for the risotto and ground turkey is for the soup and that is everything that’s a lot of food for 110 bucks and you know it’s like good quality I think
Trader Joe’s is really good quality so I’m going to put these away especially the Frozen things and then I’ll prep my oatmeal for the Week what voice over Rachel here to tell you how I prep my overnight oats if you’ve seen the Vlogs before you know all about this but I’ll go over it just in case to four mason jars because I prep four at a time I add half a cup of
Oats a tablespoon of Chia seeds half a tablespoon of flax seeds half a tablespoon of cinnamon half a cup of almond milk and then the next thing I do is like I kind of eyeball the Greek yogurt and I don’t know what do we think this is it’s like two maybe three
Tablespoons something like that then I add my sweetener usually it’s maple syrup but I notice my maple syrup actually expired so I did some honey I eyeball it but it’s like a tablespoon then I closed the mason jars I have these cool reusable mason jar tops I
Will link them if I can find them and I shake the ever loving out of these things you should know that I shake them for like 30 seconds each anyway this is the prep and then I add stuff to the breakfast in the mornings which you guys will see
Shortly all righty Sunday night dinner is a big batch of oven made risoto I will link the recipe that I use down below but I tweak it a little bit so the oven is on at 350 I am cooking some chicken on the stove it’s a well seasoned chicken meanwhile while the
Chicken is cooking I set up all my ingredients for the actual risoto then once the chicken is partially cooked I will remove it and put it on a plate and I will melt butter add garlic and onion that I pre-chopped and cook that until the onion is halfway cooked down then I
Add our boreo rice you notice I didn’t buy this the reason I’m making risoto cuz I bought it a long time ago and I’m still trying to get through it and then instead of wine like you’ll see in the recipe I just use an extra half a cup of
Chicken broth I know that wine is probably fine even though I’m pregnant cuz it’s cooking down but I just don’t want to deal with it then I add more chicken broth milk I use heavy cream instead of I think the recipe called for half and half because I
Prefer a thick daddy salt and pepper bring that to a simmer on the stove while it’s simmering I like to you know do the dishes drink my water whatever it is I’m doing and then I will uh put the chicken back on top of the rice and and
Put a lid on the pot put it in the oven for 20 minutes 20 minutes later I take the lid off keep it in the oven for another 10 or so minutes I usually keep it in for a little bit longer more like 15 um and then I take it out of the
Stove I add parmesan and butter and more cream I never said it was super healthy and there we go that’s dinner and it’s going to be leftovers for the next couple days for lunch too Bon of Petite Monday night dinner I kept it as honestly simple as you possibly can with pizza Bagels there’s no recipe here people it’s literally bagels with pizza sauce MZ moella cheese and then I usually add oregano and red pepper I forgot to add it before I finish this
Clip but I added it before I took it out of the oven anyway you bake it at I think 375 for like 10 to 15 minutes and uh boom Pizza Bagels I look a mess cuz I haven’t taken a shower so I’ll just let you know that I made the exact same
Breakfast as yesterday I got my overnight oats with raspberries and almonds and some orange juice and I gave Mario the exact same lunch because we’re still working off the very last of the leftover risoto plus see got leftover Christmas candy and chips and a breakfast bar so repat and repeat
Because that’s how you make the budget stretch final day of risotto leftovers really makes you wonder what the I’m going to eat after this eh I’m just going to why waste a dish you know I’m making the soup all right today I’m making soup tusin turkey soup to be
Specific and I am modifying a recipe that I will link below but this is the first thing I made all week that I’ve never made before so I thought it would be kind of fun to do it together as in me talking and not doing like a
Voiceover or a musical Montage so yeah like I said I’ll really col recipe below but I’m making several adjustments there so many goddamn dishes in the sink at all times first one being instead of using sausage I’m using turkey yes let’s get my soup bowl not Bowl pot whatever
Out so I’ll be needing that oh my God I literally just forgot you were there sorry um all right I guess let’s just get all of the ingredients out because I don’t know how to like prioritize this TimeWise cuz I’ve never made it before turkey onion garlic yeah yeah I use pre
Minced garlic I’m lazy grapes Northern beans um the recipe calls for oh God damn it the recipe calls for paa I don’t have any apparently um what’s similar to paprika I don’t know I just pulled out cumin can’t be that bad red pepper chicken broth and then the recipe calls for half
And half but we’re using heavy cream today cuz that’s what I got red potatoes and then the recipe calls for kale but there’s just simply no way my husband will eat it if there’s kale in it so I just got regular ass lettuce I wanted to
Get a rugle up with they didn’t have rle at the Trader Joe’s it is what it is me all righty so what are we doing today website add the sausage to a Soup pot and sauté overheat breaking up into small pieces as it Cooks uh add all
Oil all right let’s move you all right medium heat um yeah we’re going to need to add some fat because this is not sausage all right while the meat is cooking dice the onion and mince the garlic and then add to the pot okay so I don’t have to mince the garlic because
The store did that for me but let’s dice this onion I really need to be careful with the knives I have cut myself with these knives several times two cloves of garlic is roughly a teaspoon just out of this thing but I like a lot of garlic so we’ll do like a
Heaping teaspoon boom let’s see how we doing in here let’s give the meat a little mix before we add the onion all right let’s add the onion and the garlic all righty I need to drain and rinse the can of beans the thing I love so much about
Cooking is like look I’m following a recipe like I really shouldn’t this up you know what I mean but I’m also changing the recipe quite a bit because I don’t eat red meat and Mario doesn’t like kale and you know I had to make it work with the
Ingredients that I had in the house based off of other recipes I’m making this week so that I’m not like buying half and half for one recipe and whole milk for another recipe and it’s like no every recipe is just going to use heavy cream you know what I mean
Because then I only have to buy one and it’s cheaper and it’s like that’s why I love cooking because you know what it’s probably all going to work out just fine and if it doesn’t I just like taste it and figure out what got up and
Fix it or I don’t fix it and I never make it again you know what I mean I just love cooking rinsed oh we looking in here boys I’m pretty good all right add the beans boom paprika which I don’t have so cumin 3 cups of chicken bra watch
Her half and half I don’t know if I have enough of this but oh I don’t not even a little bit well it’s not going to be very creamy whoops I should have bought two of these a little bit more water instead and you know what let me
Just add the rest of the chicken bra right stir this up put a lid on her while the pot is heating cut each potato into quarters slice thin let’s slice these bad boys up ah okay I see my camera is blinking but I chopped up the potatoes and my camera
Legitimately just died ah anyway I washed the lettuce simply made a gigantic mess so try my hardest to clean as I go this should be simmering it’s starting to simmer oh I think I just add the potatoes next but I need my phone to check so hold on okay
Yes I just add the potatoes and the not kale the whatever the my greens this is the camera lens sorry all right add the potatoes ah Green’s on the floor I’m supposed to cook this for like 15 more minutes I’m going to give it 20 well
I’ll give it 15 I guess and then I’ll look at it well while I give that it’s I dropped a leaf on the floor all right what was I saying while I give that time to do its thing I’m going to do the dishes and bring an extra chair
Upstairs my newborn class starts in 20 minutes so hopefully this ‘s out okay finish it off by adding a shitload of red pepper and black pepper been on the stove for like 15 minutes I would love to give it a little bit more but I got to go upstairs because my class
Starts in 10 minutes so oh that’s yummy I’m going to add a little bit of salt a lot Sal we’ll leave that covered for Mario we’ll leave a bowl out for him Bon he’s going to be coming in a little bit late uh just because he doesn’t get home
From work until like 7:15 usually but that’s okay I’ll just tell him there’s a bowl with a spoon and a ladle on the counter with some soup in a pot help yourself Mario forgot to bring home his lunch box yesterday so he gets the kitty cat lunch box
Today it’s slightly smaller so I don’t usually give it to him but that’s what he gets when he forgets his lunch box I’m sorry I’m just publicly shaming you it’s fine put some sour cream on the soup today because why not Mhm [Applause] Okay I know today I have not really been chatting and I’m sure it’s just been like Quick Cuts fact today it’s probably been very quick up until this point my necklaces are up sorry sorry now I’ve dren your attention to it my bad we’re making a fata there’s no recipe
Here I almost just shut this again on you guys which is just like baked eggs basically right in this frittata I’m going to do sundried red what did I get sundried tomatoes that’s what I got and some goat cheese pasteurized of course because I’m pregnant but also almost all
Cheese in the United States is sold pasteurized anyway I’m going to put like six or seven six Seven’s Overkill but like six eggs whisk them up put them in a pan over heat for a few minutes and then pop them in the oven with all of
The stuff inside the PE the I keep want to say peppers and it’s Tomatoes the tomatoes and the goat cheese until it’s like cooked I haven’t made a frittata in a couple of years but I’ve been really craving eggs this pregnancy so I’ve been eating a lot of eggs and I don’t know
You know it’s hard to come up with to make every single day so every once in a while my brain is like oh yeah you haven’t made that in a couple years let’s make that so let’s make that shall [Applause] We I got to take out the recycling I feel like this pile has gotten bigger throughout the week I’ll put that on Mario’s to-do List all right actually have to go in like 5 minutes so I made a smaller portion for myself I might have more when I come home I remember I had an avocado in the fridge see fadas are great cuz you really you cannot them up it’s just eggs dude I love goat
Cheese okay I got to eat this quick all right it’s uh it’s 2 and 1 half hours later no 3 and 1 half hours later it’s like 10:00 I’m home I’m going to have more fata cuz I like definitely did not eat as much as I wanted to before I left I
Realized like I haven’t really been filming everything I’ve been eating this week cuz I haven’t really been filming my snacks because this was more about like what I bought at the grocery store and how I turned that into like three meals a day for us but snackwise the reason I haven’t been

I feel like grocery shopping isn’t my strong suit cause meal planning isn’t a thing for me 😅 so when you’re planning every week, do you have like a list of recipes you pick from or are you like “I’m craving this meal this week” what’s the list making process like?

I make little mini fritattas in a muffin tin sometimes, and they reheat pretty well if you want to meal prep them and then have them for breakfast! Also they cook a bit faster than an actual frittata in my opinion
