    They are the dried hottest chilis. I believe they’re from Thailand. Hope that helps.

    China has a huge range of short red hot chilis, the big ones you’re likely to find in the us are slightly curved, er jing tiao, or straighter (and the shorter generally hotter) chao tian jiao. I’d say these are the latter- I’m cooking with them tonight making some general tso’s chicken and some chongqing chicken for the week.
