You can always blot that grease off the top with paper towels 👍🏻

Looks like it needs a little more broiling. I made it tonight; only complaint was that it was a little too greasy. The flavor was very good. My nephew, who rarely says anything beyond “not bad” said it was “delicious” and he “loved it”, so I’ll make it again, but drain some of the fat off before adding the flour. maybe add a touch of nutmeg also.

When we had Shepards pie as a kid there were always Orange potatoes( from the meat and sauce under it) looks like potatoes are a bit soupy and too much fat in the bottom layer,I bet it still tasted good!

Shepherds pie is the first thing that I failed at with hello fresh so bad I trashed it. Though in my defence there’s something about the soffrito mix they supply that just seems to ruin everything it touches lol
