    I’m sure you enjoyed it, but this is very much the wrong sub for it. Deep dish “pizza” is controversial enough just among the American styles.

    I saw a recipe video on italian facebook for a sausage meat filled focaccia that looks like it could have been the original inspiration for this dish. Anyone have any guesses what was the original italian recipe to inspire this?

    I am not gonna say it is bad, and if you like it keep cooking it your way. but as an Italian I feel the urge to tell you that pizza doesn’t look like that in my country.
